This is a great high quality product. I went for the "stainless Steel" version of the fryer and stand and paid the little extra and I am very happy that I did. I have already used it and everything worked and looks great. I am extremely happy with this purchase. All of the parts advertised were included and it has a lot of great features. Just remember, 32 quarts is a BIG pot! I love it!

We decided as a family to try a fried turkey for thanksgiving. After some research we settled on the Bayou Classic 1195 and overall it did not disappoint. We "test" fried a chicken a couple days before Thanksgiving to make sure things were good - and they were - crispy and good. On Thanksgiving day we fried a turkey with a stand-by roasted turkey in case of mayhem. No such mayhem was encountered. In the colloquial ways of the Internet - OMFG. Never have you had a better turkey than one that took a 60 minute bath in bubbling peanut oil. The fried turkey was the only thing on the table that was finished off.

If I have to find something to nitpick (and trust me, I am digging here) the air control versus the fuel regulation can take a bit to dial-in. Lastly, with 30 quarts of oil it can take about 25 minutes to get up to temperature but that seems to be universal among fryers. Other people wrote in to comment on other fryers and their primary complaints were assembly of the unit which is a non-issue for this model as it arrives completely assembled save for one piece, and models with painted bases tend to burn off the paint during the first few uses - here too, a non-issue as this base is aluminum.

If you have the cash, buy this unit and fry the night away...

Very high quality product (all stainless, including stand and burner). Simple straightforward design. Easy to use. Comes with everything you might need, including a thermometer for oil/water. Can be used for many things other than turkey deep fry. Who wants a unifuntion piece of equipment? Steamer/boiling basket for veggies, shrimp, whatever. Plenty big for crab boil, crawdads, etc. Worth the cost. As they say, you get what you pay for, in this case even more.

I don't think I've ever seen my husband so excited about a gift before. It was just want he ahd been wanting and was very reasonably priced too. The cooking stand is very well made and extremely sturdy.

This thing is great! The stand for the burner is welded stainless steel. It's extremely stable and well put together. The burner itself can throw out tremendous amounts of heat. The pot, insert, etc. are all well-made and worth having. It's not cheap, but if you're looking for a quality product to have for a long time, this is it.

P.S. - The burner itself is not stainless steel, as mentioned elsewhere. The burner is cast iron (confirmed on the Bayou Classic website), but everything else is stainless.

As a homebrewer, it is not always easy to find a good stainless pot at a good price. I can get a 32qt at my local home brew shop for $120 + tax. However, to get a 32qt pot, amazing burner, and all of the accessories for when I want to do a low country boil, for only $140........ It is absolutely the best buy out there. The burner is QUALITY and really heats up my 7 gallon wort. Plus, it is very sturdy. When dealing with 7-8 gallons of boiling liquid, you really appreciate the square burner base. I weigh 215lbs and can stand on it without worry. I highly recommend this to anyone doing all grain brewing. With how expensive it is to move from extract to all grain, this is one area where you can save a lot of money.

I bought this set to use for home brewing and the base is solid/stable and has a great burner so boils water/wort very quickly. The pot itself is stainless steel and large which is what I needed, but is not the most solid pot out there. I was going to give this four stars instead of five for that reason, but it is a great pot for the cost and certainly does the job.

My 1st time deep frying a turkey. I'm hooked, the turkey was gobbled up. I hate clean ups but the Bayou Classic 1195 made it easy and fast. I was surprise with the quality of the deep fryer

Haven't used it much, but it is very nicely made and has a very good burner. Some rusting in the base, but overall very fine.

The shipping was very good--we received the item very fast. I do wonder if this item was a "seconds" or irregular. The inner basket does not slide out easily, which is NOT a good thing when you are cooking and the water or oil is hot. Having the basket catch on the pot as you are trying to lift it out is really a safety issue. Where the handle is attached on each side seems to create the problem. We did not realize this until we used it for the first time, so we did not return it. But I suspect it is not first quality. After trying to order from a different source and having problems, I appreciated the fast delivery.
