Was looking for an inexpensive Fry Pot to make some Hot Wings. I needed to be able to use it with my turkey fryer, and it needed to be big enough to make larger batches for a party. this Fry Pot "fit the Bill" perfectly. It is made a high quality aluminum, and is of a commercial grade thickness. The included basket is also paired nicely with the pot and takes full advantage of the pot's size. I was able to fry up 8 lbs of wings in about 4 batches. (Don't want to crowd 'em)

Because it's aluminum, it transfers the heat well. I actually found I needed to keep lowering the heat after it reach temperature. It is also very light for it's size.

I am very satisfied with my fryer purchase. It does/works great for my fish frying and so on. A very good product. I would endorse this product.

I use my fryer for one thing and one thing only. WINGS!! Nothing better on a nice day with some sports than some hot wings. I figured the deep pots that come standard with fryers were a little big and a waste on oil. So I found this pot and its perfect!! It will hold a standard 3 pound bag of wings from the grocery store PERFECTLY and is so much easier to clean because its not so big and bulky like the huge turkey pots. Pot and basket even fit in the dish washer, only washed them twice so not sure on wear and tear of numerous washes but so far so good. The basket is higher quality than I expected it to be and has a tab to hook it on the side of the pot which is convenient as well. GREAT BUY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR WING LOVERS!!!

Product cooks fast and best to use with a temperature gauge to maintain desired temperature.Would recommend this product to those who have no problem in adjusting the gas to maintain a specified temperature.

I must say that I was very disappointed when I opened the box today. This is quite possibly the thinnest, lowest quality, already dented piece of kitchen-ware that I have ever seen. I wouldn't expect this to last over a few months, and because of this, will be returning it.

I love this Bayou Classic fry pot. I have fried fish & chicken breasts in it. Doesn't come with a lid but you DON'T need one because the oil does not splatter while food is frying. Food cooks perfectly. Easy to clean. Highly recommend.

I purchased this fry pot and basket to use for doing big batches of coconut shrimp and chicken wings. I have seen other reviews that said it was too flimsy. I don't agree, especially considering the price. The included instructions say do not put the pot on the flame when it is empty because it will melt. It is not commercial kitchen quality but it works perfect for my purpose. I am able to do 32-40 shrimp, or 1lb, in about 4 min. I am going to purchase a large burner that is advertised with these pots because with my barbecue burner it takes about 20-30 min to heat 1/2 gallon oil to 375 deg F.

I ordered this to cook a lot of onion rings, quickly. When I received the pot, I thought the metal on the bottom of the pot is a little thin. After using it once and I think it works perfectly for what I am going to use it for. I think it is a good investment.

We ordered this item so that we could use it with the turkey fryer stand that we have. It arrived quickly, was of very good quality and cooks like a dream. We use this for smaller amounts of deep fried chicken or fish, whenever we aren't cooking large enough quantities to use the larger turkey fryer pot. The lid for the larger turkey fryer pot fits perfectly on this pot, so not having a lid come with it wasn't an issue.

We are very happy with this purchase, and highly recommend this product if you have a need for it as we did.

This fry pot and basket is a great accessory to our turkey deep fryer. Great size for wings, fries, onion rings, calamari, battered veggies, etc.
