I am a personal trainer and I use a 25 pound set of Reebok selectable weights for my in-house training, but I wanted a heavier set for myself. I did a lot of research before purchasing from Bayou Fitness and I have been 100% satisfied with the dumbbells that I received. Good quality, Sharp look, secure and easy weight adjustment. It DOES adjust in 5 pound increments, although the weight is slightly unbalanced when you do so. I do not find this to be a problem, in fact it adds to the muscle confusion that leads to strength gains. I would and have recommended these weights to my clients.

Although I use a regular gym for lifting weights, I cannot be bothered with spending too much time inside a gym. I do the big lifts in the gym and get out. So I originally bought this adjustable dumbbell a few months ago to use at home to do direct forearm work and some unorthodox moves like Turkish Get-Ups, Serratus Crunches and Saxon Side Bends.

The DB adjusts smoothly. No problems there. But it does have a tendency to "stick" to its plastic base. So I often find myself holding the plastic base down while taking the DB out. No sweat, of course, but still a bit annoying.

Overall, a great value for the price!

These weights are pretty good, the only downsides are that sometimes the lever sticks, also they are only in 10 pound increments.

I bought these back in 2009 and they are still going strong. I've never had a single problem with them.

My only complaint is not being able to adjust in 5 pound increments, but it isn't the end of the world.

I have had 50lb set for over a year. Weights get used 3-4 times a week for P90X workouts. I couldn't be happier with them. I have used other adjustables and this set has them beat by a long shot. Other reviews complain about switching mechanism sticking but all adjustables need to be lined up properly for a quick switch. No complaints here.

It was an affordable high quality product. The only downside is the lock would sometimes stick but other than that it was perfect.

I received these two dumbbells and couldn't be more pleased. They were well packed and protected-double boxed-fully enclosed in styrofoam. They operate smoothly and are well made and crafted. Their price was $100.000 less than a similiar Joe Weider set that arrived poorly packed,broken, and were returned. To Amazon's credit, the return and credit of the Weider set was handled exceptionally well. The Bayou product will attract me to more of their product line.

Excellent product for the price. Got mine directly from Boyou Fitness. Inexpensive there. Have two 50lb adjustable. Switching between the different weight is good. Not real smooth sometimes, but good enough. For the price, they are great. Had them 2 weeks, now. Using them alot on a swiss ball. Excellent workout. If you need dumbbells for your home gym and don't want to spend to much, get these. Good buy.

These weights are well designed and work perfectly. Simple slide adjustment with a sturdy base.

This was a Fathers Day present for my husband. He didnt get it til he got to the US for R&R....and it was his bestest present. He loves it! They are very easy to use. The slider is easy to manage as opposed to some reviews Ive read about plastic parts be faulty. This product is full functioning and very reliable.
