don't pass up this book. I have yet to find a better collection of O'Carolan tunes for the fretted dulcimer in one volume. Interesting atrrangements abound, and include some four-string chromatic tuning pieces and pieces with great use of harmonics. Dazzle your favorite Celtophile with this book.

This book is definitely for the intermediate to advanced player as it says. However, even a beginner like me can attempt and make some lovely sounds with practice. It is worthwhile to play the melody out on a piano or other instrument to get the tempo and rhythm in mind before you play it on the dulcimer. This book has been a joy for me to play.
