Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosures are optimized for corner loading. The Bass Tubes enclosure's port and woofer are on the same plane and in close proximity for maximum corner-loading results. The BT8014
The 8014 is great behind the seats of full-size pickups, or in the trunks of sedans or coupes or hatchbacks. If you're a person who changes vehicles frequently, you'll appreciate being able to use this versatile piece in many cars for years to come.

150 watts gets this sub pumping, thanks to the super efficient Bass Tubes Enclosure. Which means you don't have to break the bank finding a huge amp to drive it with. Also a great contender for multi-channel setups, this would be a great sub to use with a 4 channel amplifier to setup a great sounding, easy to install system.

BT1014 Features

• Grill
  The grill is both decorative and protective, preventing the Subwoofer from accidental damage from other items, such as golf clubs, groceries or book bags that might be tossed into the cargo area where the Bazooka Woofers are typically mounted.
• Woofer
  Bazooka's highly efficent, customized woofers are specifically designed and reinforced for use in the Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure, producing a pure piston action and generating the maximum bass output possible.
• Edge Roll
  All Bazooka Woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures feature large, high excursion, lightweight foam edge rolls to maximize their efficiency and overall bass output.
• Tube Enclosure
  A tube is a natural pressure vessel, and Bass is about pressure. The patented Bass Tubes enclosure creates a natural, uniform, hydraulic transfer of the Bass energy produced by the woofer.
• Port
  The port opening between the Tube Enclosure and the Port Tube allows for efficient transfer of bass. Bass Tubes enclosures utilize "Bass Reflex" technology to take advantage of both the forward and backward of the woofer, wasting no bass energy.
• Port Tube
  The bass energy created by both the forward and backward motion of the woofer are time aligned so that 100% of the woofer's output is concentrated into one output point.
• Acoustic Damping Fiber
  The acoustic damping material helps lower the resonance of the enclosure and simulates an increased air space.
• Terminal Plate
  The terminal plates on the Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosures feature oversized nickel-plated thumb screw terminals for ease of installation. These higher quality terminals are also spaced to conveniently accommodate banana plug connectors and heavy gauge wire for maximum performance.
• Corner Loading
  Bass Tubes enclosures are specifically designed to take advantage of the natural amplification characteristics that occur when a subwoofer is placed into the corner of a vehicle. The corner acts like a megaphone, substantially increasing bass performance.

Easy Install
As with all Bazooka Bass Tubes Enclosures, the BT8014 comes with straps to keep the sub securely mounted, while still making removal quick and easy if you need even more cargo room. Optional Chrome-Plated UMS Brackets give a flashier look, as well as a more secure, permanent mounting when removal isn't a problem.

Double Voice Coil Version Available
The BT8014 is the single voice coil, 4 ohm version of the Bass Tubes enclosure. In single subwoofer installations, where getting your amplifier to 2 ohms is important, we recommend that you check out the Dual Voice Coil Version.

Let me first say that I am new to this whole sub-woofer thing of amping up a car stereo. Although I am sure this is a good PASSIVE sub-woofer, I bought mine through Amazon by looking through the amplified sub-woofer section. I read the first two reviews and I can tell you, there are NO adjustments on this speaker. There is a positive lead and a negative lead for the stereo input only. Those are the only inputs on the speaker inside of a bass tube. Very sneaky on Amazon's part, they probably wrote the first review to make you think you were getting what you searched for. Had I been looking for an 8" passive speaker, this would not have been my first choice. Again this is NOT Bazooka's fault that their product was placed in a wrong category by Amazon. Oh, it's really heavy too so if you plan on sending it back be prepared for a hefty shipping cost. I guess that explains the reason you only see the speaker end of this purchase. If you were to see the other end you would know something isn't quite right. I hope my error will help another newbie not make the same mistake.

Bottom line, if you have a 40w stereo you'll have a 40w sub-woofer.

I installed this in my trunk with a Kicker Amp on April 10th and it sounded great, May 10th it isn't working and now and I can't return it (10days after the Return Policy), so if you have trouble with yours, good luck...

I purchased this Bazooka Sub Woofer for my Nephew for a Christmas gift. I received the Bazooka tube in time and there was a note stating that the Bazooka tube was sent seperatly so it would get here in time for Christmas and that the 150 watt amp would be coming along shortly just after Christmas. Well, it's been five weeks and I haven't heard or seen anything of the amplifier. I can't find the manufacturer to send them an e-mail to find out what happened to the rest of my order. I'm pissed.
