Bazooka BT8024DVC BT Series 8-Inch 4-Ohm Dual Passive Tube

I bought two of these for my wife's 4runner to mount above the interior wheel wells and maintain cargo area. The dual voice coils allowed me to drop the impedence of the amplifier down to 2 ohms and push each subwoofer at 200 watts using only a small CRUNCH amp fitted under the passenger seat. I've never had a bass tube, and wasn't sure what to expect. However, these things boom HARDER than the single 12" pioneer in my truck and deeper than my friend's two MTX 10"s in his truck. My wife is extremely happy - she has high quality boom boom for the money.

I used this speaker with a Lanzar Vibe 532 amp. It sounded good while it was still working, but the speaker burnt out after just 3 straight hours of listening while I was driving from Houston to Dallas. I don't know why since the amp is rated within the speaker's power handling range (100 RMS, 200 Max).

I brought this base tube with a Alpine PDX-4.150 amplifer and I am very impressed with the base, It has added life to my music. I am thinking about purchasing a second Bazooka base tube however I am not sure if it may be overkill.
