The TMS8A-HP-FJ is designed specifically for install in your Toyota FJ Cruiser. It features an eight-inch dual voice coil subwoofer to deliver the goods. Simply point it into the rear corner to take advantage of the Bass Tubes Enclosure, and you're rockin' in no time!

- Grill
The grill is both decorative and protective, preventing the Subwoofer from accidental damage from other items, such as golf clubs, groceries or book bags that might be tossed into the cargo area where the Bazooka Woofers are typically mounted. - Woofer
Bazooka's highly efficent, customized woofers are specifically designed and reinforced for use in the Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure, producing a pure piston action and generating the maximum bass output possible. - Edge Roll
All Bazooka Woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures feature large, high excursion, lightweight foam edge rolls to maximize their efficiency and overall bass output. - Tube Enclosure
A tube is a natural pressure vessel, and Bass is about pressure. The patented Bass Tubes enclosure creates a natural, uniform, hydraulic transfer of the Bass energy produced by the woofer. - Port
The port opening between the Tube Enclosure and the Port Tube allows for efficient transfer of bass. Bass Tubes enclosures utilize "Bass Reflex" technology to take advantage of both the forward and backward of the woofer, wasting no bass energy. - Port Tube
The bass energy created by both the forward and backward motion of the woofer are time aligned so that 100% of the woofer's output is concentrated into one output point. - Acoustic Damping Fiber
The acoustic damping material helps lower the resonance of the enclosure and simulates an increased air space. - Integrated Amplifier
The integrated amplifiers are performance matched to the specific woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures to ensure that every watt of power is efficiently turned into bass performance. Having the amplifier integrated into the enclosure simplifies installation and eliminates power loss. - Corner Loading
Bass Tubes enclosures are specifically designed to take advantage of the natural amplification characteristics that occur when a subwoofer is placed into the corner of a vehicle. The corner acts like a megaphone, substantially increasing bass performance.
Custom Install
OEM interface harnesses are included, specifically for installation in the FJ Cruiser. Cargo net cleats will remain accessible, and removal is quick and easy if you need even more cargo room.
The TMS8A-HP-FJ is also a breeze to install, taking about 20 minutes total.

I have had this product for almost a year now, and I have had to remove it and resolder, repair the wires inside more than once. The sound quality is poor, the electronics are cheap and the mount vibrates! I am not an amateur with these types of repairs, and I purchased this as a quick and cost effective alternative to the Toyota box but I should have demanded my money back.

The pre-fab'd plate that fits into the molding wasn't drilled right. I had to re-drill 2 of the main 4 attacment points. The rig rattles pretty bad, but its an easy fix. If you browse the fjcruiser forum for the subwoofer rattle fix you'll find a great write up on how to add some self adheisive rubber around the edges. I strongly suggest doing this during the install.
Other than that, the sound quality is pretty good. I wasn't looking for the best bump in town and I like how the unit performs. Nice have a pre-wired install and no additional amp to worry about.

This sub is pretty decent. If you are looking to shake the car next to you this sub is not for you. If you are looking to add a little bump to your music, as I was, you will love this. The mounting plate is amazing, no rattles if you get some rubber weather stripping and stick that all the way around the contact points of the mounting plate and sub mount. Its literally a 2 minute process to put the rubber tape on and you will have absolutely no rattles -- do this during install. I went offroading and came back and still had no rattles on the deep low bass notes.
It is only a 100 watt amp built in, but is more than enough for what I was looking for. The connector had a loose pin from the get go is the only reason I gave this 4 stars. I was able to re-seat the pin and then everything was great! Have had it for a month now and no problems to note since fixing the pin on the connector during install. Had there been no wire issue it would have been 5*s. As far as space that it takes up, I camped out in the back of the FJ a couple nights and it was not in the way with the seats folded down and all my fishing gear and bag of clothes in the back. It fits nicely above the wheelwell and does not protrude out into the usable space of the cabin. If you think you want a sub but are on the fence, get this you will not be dissappointed.
