Bd Flexible Digital Thermometer

This thermometer has never been accurate and consistently shows temperatures under the normal 98.6 degrees. I dont trust it especially after having a really bad fever where I was sweating bullets and it showed I was at 98.2 degrees. I dug out my old glass one and it recorded me at 101.7...big discrepancy there. I would only recommend spending more money and getting a one second ear one instead.

After having tried numerous other digital thermometers and none of them being accurate, I did some research online. Consumer Reports named this thermometer as the best digital and most accurate. So, I took a chance and ordered one. Guess what...it really is accurate! I still have an old mercury thermometer so I've used it several different times for comparison since mercury is the gold standard and it's always spot on.

I don't think that the beeping it does every few seconds to let you know that the thermometer is in the right spot is all that loud or annoying as some others have mentioned. Maybe I'm hard of hearing, tho, who knows? lol

Some have mentioned that the thermometer is not accurate and it makes me wonder if their battery may be dead or close to dead and needs replacing. Since I purchased the first thermometer, I got a second one for another family member and it's just as accurate.

I like that it's soft and flexible...not uncomfortable at all. Very easy to use, too. It does light up so you can read it in the dark. Oddly, tho, when you are done taking your temp and remove the thermometer from your mouth the light does not come on. You have to actually shut the thermometer off and it will then light up for several seconds for you to read your temp. It does, however, light up as soon as you turn it on so if you happen to miss what your temp read, it will show back up when you turn it back on.

Comes with a nice little case to store it in. I'd highly recommend this thermometer as I've found it to be extremely accurate with every use and I've tested it numerous times. Not a bad price, either!

This is a quick, easy, and safe way to check temps especially on children. You don't have to worry about glass breaking and you can feel confident that the reading will be accurate.

I was very impressed with this thermometer! Most digital thermometers are hard, which makes it difficult to hold under your tongue. My daughter had no trouble holding this one under her tongue. I compared the temperature readings with that of a regular thermometer and the readings were always accurate -- a plus for a digital thermometer! I'd definitely recommend this for anyone -- especially someone with younger children.

The BD Soft & Flexible Digital Thermometer was very accurate and easy to use. It's a nice advantage to have a thermometer that I can put in the diaper bag. I'd highly recommend this product to friends and family.

I would recommend digital thermometers in general after trying this product, but I'm not sure this one is superior to other non-flexible models. I liked that it beeps when the reading is complete, and I didn't miss needing to flick the mercury down on a glass thermometer. However, this thermometer is unbalanced when in the mouth. The digital display is part of the rather long (2.5 inches), heavy end that tips the entire thermometer away from the mouth. I didn't find it more comfortable than a glass thermometer, even with the flexible end.

I love BD's Soft & Flexible Multipurpose Digital Thermometer! Being accustomed only to hard-to-read glass thermometers, I didn't know that taking accurate temperatures could be so easy. In addition to its ""Accu-Beep"" feature which beeps every four seconds to indicate correct usage, it also includes a 3-year battery, an automatic off button, and a memory recall feature.

The BD Soft & Flexible Digital Thermometer is a great product. It gives a fast and accurate reading. It's unbreakable and the beeping lets you monitor your temperature correctly. It's much better than the standard glass thermometer. I would recommend this to all of my family and friends. It's a must have for all medicine cabinets!

I wish this product existed when I was a child! I've never actually looked forward to taking my temperature until I started using the BD Soft & Flexible Digital Thermometer. It takes only a minute to have a clear temperature read out. I prefer this over a mercury thermometer that takes minutes to get an accurate reading, and even then, I usually can't find the white line. What I especially like is that I don't have to remember or write down the last temperature taken. The thermometer stores it for you. This thermometer is also great for travelers, as it's very compact. Another bonus: it's not made of glass! I'd definitely recommend this to others. It's a great value.

This digital thermometer is great! It's very convenient to take a temperature (even a child's) with the digital readings. It's easy to wipe clean. A neat feature is that it stores the last temp taken until the next time the thermometer is turned on -- a great convenience if you're taking your temp early in the morning before you get out of bed or in a darkened room with a sick child. It's a great thermometer and I highly recommend it.
