JOY, JOY, JOY. This latest album from The Brooklyn Tabernacle will make you jump for joy, literally! It is impossible to be sad and gloomy when listening to the first cut on the disk, Be Glad. It contains the joy of knowing that Jesus is in control and in charge. The instrumental track is well performed and the bass guitar line has a real kick. He Reigns Forever, the fourth cut, has a similar theme. It's upbeat and asks us to give God all the glory for everything he's done. This album is TBT's response to the 9/11 crisis. The message it shares with us is the message that this precious church has always shared with us. There is still hope because God lives and he cares for everyone of us even though our lives become very dark for a season. The seventh song on the album, This Is How It Feels To Be Free, speaks of the freedom that can only be known when your life is given to Jesus. It is only then that you experience the true joy of not being held back by the sins of this world. Go Forth is the last song on the album. It's message tells us to carry on in the name of Jesus. Life is hard, we all know that. But you can get through it with God's help. Carol Cymbala has discovered the path to success. Her heart is so obedient, soft and compliant to the will of God that everything she does expresses her love and gratitude to the Lord for what he has done. That leads me to He's Still Doing Great Things, the eighth song. God still performs miracles. He does not sleep. This song reminds us of that. I'm afraid I'm running out of words to describe all the great work this choir does. Their popularity comes not only from the material they sing but from the love and passion they have for Jesus. You can hear it everytime they sing. You won't be disappointed with this latest offering. It's instant joy in a plastic case. Don't pop a pill when you need a lift in your spirit. Listen to this album instead.

How could I ever expect anything other than to be greatly blessed by this amazing choir! The CD is beautiful, inspiring and worshipful, and like most music from Brooklyn Tabernacle, makes my cry! As a professional musician, I alway appreciate their great arrangments as well as the soloists. Get this. You will be blessed and you will BE GLAD!

OK! I might be prejudiced, this is my home church choir. But, I don't always love their projects. But I love this one! Buy it ASAP! My favorite songs are the title song Be Glad and Goodness of the Lord. Be Glad makes you happy to know Our Savior and Goodness of the Lord makes you want to shout because of all His goodness. This project has different syles for different moods. However, I kept hitting my back button on my CD player to hear 1&2 again and again. (I had to leave my CD player home today, because my husband wanted to take the CD today.) Though I have other music, it just wasn't Be Glad, and Be Glad was what I wanted to hear. (If you think it's great on recording, you should hear it live).....anointed!

Great CD...I really like "Be Glad", "My Life...." "He Reigns Forever", " He's God"..I might as well say the whole album is terrific! and I have to say that Joey Vazquez has the best bass rhythyms around

It's the best CD that I've bought since I can't remember when. It is really good!!! It makes great music for the car. My favorite songs are "Be Glad" and "This is How it Feel to Be Free". WOW! Also, "My Life is in Your Hands" really spoke straight to my heart. I wouldn't think twice about buying this tape....It's definently a must-have!

If you think this choir is amazing on cd, you should hear them in person! Listening to the cd is much like being a part of the service. The songs are truly uplifting---you can't help but rejoice while it's playing...

I first heard My Life Is in His Hands when I attended Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas and their choir peformed it. It was so beautiful. My family had just suffered a great loss and this song just spoke to our hearts. I had to have the CD and I now listen to it all day long. Our lives are truly in His hands and who would have it any other way.

I was so thrilled with this CD that I have purchased and given away 3 copies!! The songs are fantastic and recorded in an order that keeps the listener enthralled!!!! It is my all-time favorite!!!!!

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! What more can I say that the other many reviews haven't already said? Every one of these songs is just wonderful. Every song is meaningful, moving, inspirational, deep and rich in spirit and power. The quality and detail of arrangements and orchestrations are just amazing. I have many CD's but I can't help but listen to these of the Brooklyn Tabernacle and The Christ Church Choir over and over and over. I know them all word for word. Even after performing many of these arrangements with my own church choir these songs never get old. They still uplift and inspire. After you purchase this one ("Be Glad") you should check out "High and Lifted Up" by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. It is just as thrilling.

Awsome and anointed singing, gospel music, good for music directors looking for worship music for choirs and praise bands.
