Miraculous Healing from Earth Energy,
By Cynthia Sue Larson "www.realityshifters.com" (San Francisco bay area, CA USA) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Hardcover)
Warren Grossman has written a masterpiece in TO BE HEALED BY THE EARTH. His deceptively simple book touches my heart so deeply that I find tears of love and joy spontaneously welling up in my eyes as I read it. Grossman's loving view of this world shines right through every word of this beautifully illustrated book, as he describes how to: feel and share energy with Nature, feel more Love in one's life, develop one's skills as a Healer, and do a most remarkable set of Exercises.Grossman begins TO BE HEALED BY THE EARTH by describing how he returned home early from a vacation to Brazil in 1987 feeling desperately ill. His doctor told him a parasite had laid its eggs in his liver and he had one week left to live... and sent him home to die. Instead of dying, Grossman felt inspired to lie down on the Earth every day, which began a transformation within him. When he found himself healthy again, he noticed he was seeing light coming from all living organisms -- including in his psychotherapy patients. I began to practice some of the exercises with some trepidation, since I have allergies and many pollens were blowing about this spring. I found much to my surprise that my allergies and asthma vanished completely as I practiced these exercises on a daily basis... and this was in the height of one of the worst allergy seasons ever! I give this book my highest recommendation to anyone interested in improving their skills as a healer, as well as to anyone who simply wishes they had more energy, better health, and/or a more loving relationship with others in their life.

touching and practical,

This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Hardcover)
Contrary to what a former reviewer said about this book being elementary and therefore dissapointing, I beleive this to be a marvelous book. It has a magical air to it; Warren Grossman's loving nature actually comes through the book to the reader. This is something I find missing from most other books on healing that I have read (mostly chi-kung: Chinese energy healing). Besides being beautiful to look at and to read, and besides it being written in a way which can touch your heart, this book contains exercises which are simple to practice and profound in their affects! Advanced techniques (at least of chi-kung) shouldn't even be put into books because the reader can seriously hurt him/herself if practiced wrongly (which is likely if the reader has no experience with energy arts). So, the author did us all a favor by making these techniques simple. Much of the book is spent examining different emotions and how they affect a person (and his/her energy). He talks about being a healer in everything you do in life; healing every situation and every relationship. This is a wonderful book for anyone serious about healing themselves, others, or the planet as a whole.

A new paradigm in healing and becoming whole!,
By jneal@snet.net, Judi Neal, Director of the Ce... (Connecticut) - See all my reviews
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Paperback)
This book presents an elegantly simple approach to healing and wholeness. He explains the healing power of nature in every day, non-esoteric terms that anyone can understand and use. He makes the concepts and practices of healing non-threatening and available to anyone who is willing to take a minute or two to stand bare-foot on the Earth. Many people ask "What type of healing is this?" Its not a "type" of healing. The book describes how to tune into nature and how to let the natural flow of energy remove pain, illness, or negative emotions. There are many beautiful and inspirational passages on the connection between love and healing. Some of the topics that are covered are patience, gentleness, kindness, and generosity. The book ends with several chapters on what it means to be a healer and provides a thorough description of healing exercises that anyone can do. This book is a book you will want to own and use on a daily basis, as well as a book you will want to give as a gift to the people you care about.

It was an awesome experience working with the author after some traumatic experiences in my life. The healing practices that I learned from the workshops and later, the book, have left a profound impact on my life. I have been, and continue to be healed by the Earth, thanks to Warren Grossman. Spread the word.

Opens up infininte possibilies for healing,
By A Customer
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Paperback)
When one is bone weary and full of sadness even the thought healing is daunting. While Styron's "Darknesss Visible" and Cronkites's "On the Edge of Darkness" offer the comfort of knowing others share your experience of depression, the quest remains, how to heal the darkness. Grossman's book offers an answer. Read the simple elegant language and the idea that healing is possible begins to take hold. The anger, fear and anxiety that is a part of every person's life, and which indelibly marks depression, is expressed in such a way that acknowledgement, understanding and forgiveness follow almost seamlessly. Love supplants fear. Healing begins and love takes hold. This is unique. Kay Redfield Jamison touched on the healing power of love in her memoir "An Unquiet Mind". "To Be Healed By The Earth" shows us how to begin. Read this book, share it. It is special.

This author is an amazing healer - I went to see him,
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Hardcover)
This book is simple, but clear and direct. If 'advanced' healers truly mastered the simple truths of this book, they might be able to approach the incredible healing power of Warren Grossman that is obvious to anyone who goes to see him as a patient. There is nothing understated about his treatments - you can feel huge surges of energy pass through your body, creating massive change in moments that is undeniable. I watched him work on someone else as well, allowing me to see rather than just experience - he seems to actually take the sick energy of the patient out of the patient and into his own body, and then he sends that into the earth. Amazing. Not only that, but I was broke when I went to see him and he saw me for free several times with no awkwardness. So while this book is simple, I know its source is the real deal and what he writes is worth listening to.
Another book that is perhaps more detailed and accurate in terms of the energetic structures is Energetic Anatomy by Mark Rich, another amazing healer. (www.energeticanatomy.com). I have found his book to be very useful as well in a completely different way, balancing out what is missing from other books in the genre.

A Must Read book about the healing process,
By
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Paperback)
To Be Healed by the Earth For anyone, professional healer or layperson, who feels they still have something to learn about healing, this is what I consider a "must read" book. I know, I know, you already have a "must read" list of a dozen or two; put this one on the top! This is a remarkable book written in an easy style, free of scientific jargon, mystical references, esoteric exercises, or impossible disciplines; it goes directly to the heart and enters softly. He does employ the use of the Chakra energy system as an elegant framework for describing Energy Anatomy, but it is otherwise free of any unconventional concepts, and he considers health (wholeness) to be the unimpeded flow of energy through this system; primarily the upward flow of Earth energy through the feet and legs on its way to purifying each chakra, most importantly the heart chakra, before its exit from the crown. He reminds us that healing is ordinary; that it is abundant and available to everyone, that professional healers must shed their arrogance. "Being a healer is not something that is done in isolated moments called healing sessions; it is how you live and how that in turn affects others." Being a healer is to be gentle, delicate and open, and to do this we must desire to be "happy, healthy and loving" and willing to actively work towards that goal; the healthier, the more balanced we become, the more effective our work. It is not only so-called "healers" who can (and should if we are to survive) develop these skills; anyone with motivation, intention and desire can do it, and he provides 24 excellent, easy-to-do exercises requiring no materials other than what you already have available. For those interested in advanced training, Grossman himself has founded (1991) The Institute of Light in Cleveland, OH, a non-profit teaching center where he teaches healing to a variety of motivated healers. Grossman's artfully illustrated Diagrams of the Chakra energy system, the Levels of Healing (an excellent way of conceptualizing the broad array of healing potentials), and the diagram of Healing itself are succinct and provide a wonderful synopsis of his approach. What he has to say is not only nourishing to the Soul, but he has collaborated in a unique way with Mary Kelsey, a renowned artist who has specialized in capturing the beauty of the Central American rain forests and who has filled this book with illustrations that evoke the very spirit of his refreshing ideas. It is an exiting marriage of visual delight and prose. The purpose of a book review is get your attention, to get you to read the book. If you're not already convinced, and if you haven't already put it at the top of your list, think about what Belleruth Naparstek has to say about it: "An exquisite treasure of a book, designed to be read again and again. Don't be deceived by the apparent simplicity of this volume - it offers profound wisdom and experience." Need I say more? Thank you so much Warren and Mary for a book that touches us on such a deep and personal level. Namaste Bert Fellows

I Incorporate this work into Quantum Touch,
By
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Paperback)
The Alchemical Woman A Handbook for Everyday Soulwork After reading this book and subsequently attending a workshop facilitated by the author, I began using the techniques for drawing up the healing energy of the earth. I experienced a profound entering into the core of the earth while prostrate on the beach ~ a connection I will never forget. I later learned Quantum Touch and now often combine the two, bringing energy up from the earth and in through the breath. It's all around us and we simply need to use our intention to call upon it to direct it in love for healing. I was struck by the author's story of personal healing and it was that inspiration that lead me to pursue the course he took. I recommend it to anyone - it's simple, yet profound.

Best I've found,
This review is from: To Be Healed by the Earth (Paperback)
I've looked at some of the books that are somewhat similar (even though I'm not deeply into "healing"), and this one is so far superior to other ways to access what this book did for me.
So much, in fact, that I sought out Warren for his workshop and private sessions that have become the pivot point in my life. (He's now teaching the teachers, including yoga teachers. After years of practicing as a psychotherapist, he's discovered a way to simplify and strip away to a deceptively elegant way to access the power of the earth.) It is now a daily practice, plus I've made it an optional "start the day" offering for those who are studying with me in my workshops. (Many of these people contribute to organizations, some raise money for these social causes. And I just marvel at the greater power they exhibit.) To find anything that resembles the new vista that this book has given me,,I have to go back to my awakening, reading Maslow, Alan Watts, etc, But to get max benefit, you must be a person who hears your own drum, who doesn't need outside confirmation to make your decisions. This master is relatively unknown compared to how he will be known.
