Calling all music fans! And if you're a Jeff Bridges fan...evenbetter! Be Here Soon is a cool mix of music. There is a taste ofcountry, rcok, R&B, blues, and more! Add some great harmonies by Michael McDonald and you have a real nice sound. Jeff, who is such a talented actor, wrote six of the CD's nine songs. The other three were written by his childhood friend, John Gordan. Some songs are deep and inspirational, like Two White Roses, and Buddha And Christ At Large. While other are light and fun, like The Circle Dance and September Brings. The title of the CD, Be Here Soon, was aptly named, as Jeff fans know, we waited a long time for this release. He kept us posted on his progress at his very original websight. Lastly, with a portion of the proceeds going to the endhunger network, it is a win win situation for all of us. Nice, original music for the music/Jeff fan and some proceeds going to charity. Enjoy! END

As long time Jeff Bridges fans, it is nice to see him expressing himself musically. Jeff's lyrics portray a broad range of emotion. The harmonies with Michael McDonald and David Crosby are very pleasing. And the songs are easy to listen to and remember. We hope Jeff continues his musical pursuits.

I love Jeff Bridges, so I'm biased, but this CD is great listening music. Michael McDonald comes through loud and clear and like a wine, you hear undertones of Eric Clapton and Neil Young! Interesting! Make more music, but please, keep making movies Jeff!

Excellent CD! It's great for 'background' music; for when you just get home from work and not sure what to listen to, it's got a great combination of all kinds of music. Most people can't believe it's Jeff Bridges! Very impressive! Help make it a best seller!

jeff's new cd,"be here soon", is something we,as fans have been waiting for,.and i know we were,and are, very excited for him.....we all know how much music means to him,......he finally got it all together,and with the help of michael macdonald,and david crosby,has done the same wonderful work in his music that we have enjoyed in his movies all these years,......he is a voice all his own,but,a little bit of a clapton sound .....and the pairing of macdonald and crosby is pure genius,i never really noticed, in all this time i have been enjoying their music,just how alike in writing and singing style they are,and jeff is the link that makes this process whole,and brought a sound so new,and different,he's not just the "actor want to sing",he lives music,he dreams music,and though he is very blessed creatively in many other ways,the music is a must,it's time,it's here,and it's a wonderful collection,none to be stereotyped into any one musical genre,but something for everyone who likes music, his songs speak of passion,indecision,fear,love,and so much more,don't let the actor/singer stereotype sway you,.......this is the real thing,and well worth a listen,............and of course,part of the proceeds will go to the "end hunger network"

jeff's cd "be here soon",is musical genera,.....why is it such a surprise then,that this actor has done a cd?...and also made sure part of the proceeds go to his charity,"the end hunger network"....he's lived and loved music since he was young,so,it was no surprise to his fans that he would at some point need to express himself in this form of entertainment,and i MEAN ENTERTAINMENT.his songs are very deep, very fun,and stimulating,......for those who have stereotyped actors as only worth a look on the screen,it's a pity,for they are missing some very good music,with a bevy of musical talent that have proved themselves in music already,.......pairing david crosby,and michael macdonald in harmony,was pure genious,they have a similar style,and jeff's voice just adds to that tight harmonious sound,...in some of the cuts,he has an eric clapton kind of sound....i will admit,i love jeff,always have,always will,.......and i am more than pleased with the way the music has turned out,not to mention how it affects me,for jeff's first try in the musical waters,so to speak,he has done a very good job with his music,........this disc has something for everyone,and it is truly worth a listen.

This is a wonderful collection of Jeff's feelings and experiences. You can see into his heart with these songs, his ups and downs, but yet it remains mostly light and airy. Choke, Picture Frame, Mask. He's honest with what he feels, but he's not preachy. Great job Jeff, and you keep good company.

this cd is as good if not better then any other music of this style
the style is kinda bluesy soft rock country id compare him to lyle lovett[who i also enjoy and im only 18 years old imagine that]
jeffs cd has it all acoustic electric guitars horns piano and even pedal steel guitars wich i love
im probly one of the biggest jeff bridges marcs around [i even liked the king kong remake] and if your not a jeff fan id suggest previewing this cd first
if your a big dude fan buy this asap cuz it rules
think a mix between bob dylan, lyle lovett, solo george harrison, and the dude ,and thats what you get

Jeff Bridges is somethin' else! All human and, yet, distinctly transcendent. He plows through fields of human hurt and draws together healing for dirty souls. God bless him! Thanks for the music, Jeff! It's as passionate, open, concise, wild and wonderful as ALL of your parts on the silver screen. Thank you for being a wholistic voice in a supremely disjointed world.

I don't know what some of the other reviewers were listening to (you can sample the entire album from his website)... but just like his acting Jeff Bridges puts all of himself into this venture and it shows. There are some soulful blues, r&b, little folky/country twang through out the album, a very good listen in singles or as a whole. As a side note, I'm waiting with much anticipation for the new album to drop later this summer, I feel that teamed up with T-bone Burnett the next album is just going to be that much better.
