Wiersbe's Best,
By
This review is from: Be Joyful (Philippians): Even When Things Go Wrong, You Can Have Joy (The BE Series Commentary) (Paperback)
Warren Wiersbe is one of the great Bible teachers of all time. He interprets and applies the truth on a popular level without compromising depth. Be Joyful, his commentary on Philippians, is his best work in my opinion. He reveals the four thieves of joy (one for each chapter of Philippians), and then counters them with the four "minds" we are to develop. Simple, clearcut, balanced, and practical. A must read.

Warren Wiersbe is an excellent teacher, whether it be written in a study or listening to him. The book "Be Joyful" is not an exception to this practical, useful style of writing. He points out the absolute necessity of "having a single mind" for Christ and being absolutely submitted to His leading for our lives. I would recommend this book for individual study or group study.

Yes, even when there seems to be no reason for joy, when eyes see only tears and knees burn from kneeling so long. Alas this brings you right back on course. What a wise man WWW is, again one of my favorite authors. His use of scriptural psychology is amazing. Not a part of this book is without a connection to scripture. This book studies the book of Philippians as I have yet to see another author accomplish in clear easy to understand points. As written in his book...."Worry is actually wrong thinking (the mind) and wrong feeling (the heart) about circumstances, people and things." Phil 4.
Ck it out, you wont want to put in down

This review is from: Be Joyful (Philippians): Even When Things Go Wrong, You Can Have Joy (The BE Series Commentary) (Paperback)
This book serves as a tremendous guide through the Book of Philippians with insight into the life of the Apostle Paul and his secrets for maintaining joy in the midst of whatever happens in life. These secrets appear as anchors within the heart of individuals to see things from God's point of view in the way of silver linings within dark clouds that may come upon anyone in life. I highly recommend this for Bible Study groups, as well as on an individual study basis. CAMooney

Obviously, the Bible is the Bible's best commentary. If you are looking for extra helps, Wiersbe is, in my opinion, the best Christian writer. He is on the top of my list. His simple writing and amazing understanding of God's word makes a great expository commentary. I recommend it as an accompaniment to any bible study. Wiersbe is true to the doctrinesof the Bible; not showing bias to any book, author, etc. This is a must for anyone with a thirst for the things of God.
