As a bride, I'm so happy to have found this book for both me and my fiance. It's full of helpful information, ideas and guidance (which I appreciate), but it's also an entertaining read with humor throughout (which my fiance appreciates). The wedding process is stressful and sometimes I find wedding books to be too overwhelming which adds to my stress, but this book is to the point, light, and super helpful. I highly recommend!
This book is a must read for any guy planning on getting married. When I first popped the question to my special lady, she came home one day with all kinds of wedding books, including a 3 inch binder filled with wedding planning info! Determined to outdo her, I purchase this book. I was really surprised at all of the great info for a groom. Needless to say, I had a great wedding, and a lot of fun through the process! This book definitely takes away the stereotype that weddings are just for the bride.
As a certified wedding planner, I wanted to read this book and see if it was exactly what men needed - it is! Insightful, funny, informative and definitely the perfect gift for any groom to be. Brides would be wise to read this and understand wedding planning from a man's point of view. Chris absolutely nails it with real life stories and great narratives on each subject. I bought this book to appease my friend who just so happens to be the author. The idea was for him to come over, see it on my coffee table and think to himself, "what a great friend, I have." It dawned on me that I may need some talking points if he asked me what I thought of it. Not to have my 'good friend' cover blown, I decided to open the book and nab a few choice sentences I could throw out; you know, to support the idea that I read the book. After reading a few pages I realized that this book was the real deal. No offense to my friend, but I was taken aback at just how good of a resource it actually is. This book will walk you through EVERY aspect of being THE MAN at any wedding to everyone involved in the event. This event is one of the biggest, most expensive and most meaningful in our lives. When I got married, and even when I got asked to stand up in a few of my buddy's weddings, I was an amateur. I didn't know the first thing about etiquette or protocol. I didn't know how to Be The Man. I had to ask a ton of people for advice. I had to search online, sifting through conflicting information. I had to jump through all kinds of hoops. This book is a one stop shop for all of that and I really wish it had been around for me when I needed it. Men, get this book to help you Be The Man. Women, get this book for a guy who needs to know how to Be The Man.
I once saw Chris Easter ride a unicorn into battle with a local city council that was intent on destroying a playground for underprivileged left handed youth. That makes this a must read for me. Without even having read this book i know it's full of things like helpful hints, words, and badassness(real word). So make a difference in this world and forgo a few cups of starbucks and buy this book instead. Then buy another one.
