Another wonderful vampire tale,
By Judy "book reader" (Cincinnati, ohio United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Be Mine Forever (The Vampire Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
Be Mine Forever is another tantalizing vampire tale by Rosemary Laurey.
Several months ago Angela Ryan and her friend Jane were left for dead after a vicious vampire attack. They found shelter in a safe Vampire colony in Ohio. Angela is drawn to one of its members Tom Kyd. Tom is one handsome and strong mined Vamp. They are a sizzling pair in and out of bed. But Angela balks at Tom's over protectiveness but Tom can't help wanting to keep Angela safe at all cost. Angela and Tom search for clues to Angela's true identity. The closer they get to the truth and each other only brings the danger nearer to those they love. Be Mine Forever revisits past vampires and their mates. It was a treat to see how life is treating Dixie/Kit and Stella/Justin. I hope we get more delightful vampire tales to come.

Little romance here --- 3.5 stars,

While I really enjoyed Laurey's previous books in this series, this one left me wanting. The thriller/suspense plot retains reader interest and is certainly complicated. However, it's not very deep (or original). The villain is a truly nasty piece of work (though stereotypical despite being a vampire), yet he is easily dispatched in the end. Not well done.
Worse, there is little romance in this paranormal romance. Angela & Tom argue, but there is no other tension between them. The love scenes are without true passion. In fact, there's little deep emotion (other than fear) for either character. The most emotional scene in the book involves Justin, Stella, and Sam. This one is a real let down after the other two. Read it if you want to go on with the series (and I definitely advise the others first), but I don't recommend buying it.

I don't think this was made to be a "stand alone" book, it was obviously part of a series. I read the first two books and really wanted to know what happened to Jane and Angela, I liked them. I know one of the reviewers complained that this was the first book in the series that she'd read and there were too many references to past events. I believe that is the same in any book series. If you don't start from the beginning you have a difficult time understanding the characters and their backgrounds. I personally dislike books in a series that go on and on explaining past events and taking up book space with that. I'd rather just get into the new book in the series and go on from there.

A little confusing in the begining. Gets very interesting by chapter 4, and then gets hard to put down. Great book.

I read the first two books of this series, I loved the first book. The second was okay, and the third..I was just truely disappointed. Every book seemed the same..each vampire who has never fallen inlove with a mortal finds a women they simply cannot resist. The first one had an interesting story to it, and honestly the series should have just followed Kit and the women(can't remember her name}. I got maybe half way through the book, and have yet to finish it.

excellent vampire romantic thriller,
This review is from: Be Mine Forever (The Vampire Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
Four months ago, they were attacked by a rogue vampire and changed into ghouls with no memories of who they were or what they became. In Chicago Vlad Tepes found them and brought them to Ohio and the community of vampires living there. It was discovered that the women Jane and Angela were ghouls even though none of the vampires know what that entails or what powers they have. Jane stays in Ohio with Kit Marlow and his wife Dixie while Angela goes to England to stay with Justin and Stella, married vampire couples.
Tom Kyd is in love with Angela which brings out his protective streak so that Angela finally rebels and goes to Devon without telling him to follow-up on a clue to her identity. Tom follows her and they search for clues together but the vampire that turned Angela into a ghoul has attacked and nearly killed Justin and the leader of the vampire community. He is coming for Angela and she must use the powers of a witch's coven as well as the vampire community if she hopes to defeat him. Rosemary Laurey is one of the best writers of vampire romantic thrillers on the market today. Her characterizations are brilliant and complex, her pacing is just right and there is enough romance and action to keep readers absorbed in BE MINE FOREVER. There are other vampire characters who deserve their own story so hopefully this isn't the end of Ms. Laurey's magnificent vampire series. Harriet Klausner

I thought it was a nice book. Not as as good J.R. Ward when I first read her book I couldn't put it down.
However, Rosemary Laurey had some good parts but lack passion and interest. I'm glad Liz found herself and Meg the witch was there to encourage Liz. However, I didn't care for the darkness of the evil Laran. overall i give it 3 and 1/2 stars. If you are into scenes like the TV shows then you will enjoy the book more.

BORING!,
This review is from: Be Mine Forever (The Vampire Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
First of all I want to say this book was just all over the place! I didnt really know who the main characters were and where the story was headed! I usually dont have bad opinions of books and tend to like at least a little bit of all the books I read. But I have to say this book was just horrible I was struggling to finish it and then finally just gave up a little more than half way! I would not recommened this book to anyone!

Not What You Are Expecting!,

This review is from: Be Mine Forever (The Vampire Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
Angela Ryan wakes up with a strange woman and she doesn't know what has happened to her and she doesn't remember who she is. Thankfully she and Jane, the woman she awoke with are "saved" by a clan of Vampires. One vampire stands out from all the rest. Sexy, dark Tom Kyd. Too bad he is so Alpha and Angela feels like she's smothered when it comes to his protective nature. Tom thinks she's not careful enough with the danger that surrounds her at every turn. He understands her need to search for her true identity but he's afraid of what they will find when the mystery is solved. Will Tom truly be able to protect his mate or will evil win in the end?
This is a good read but it's short on romance. This is a rather weak stand-alone and although I enjoyed visiting with Stella, Justin, Kit and Dixie I still could not shake the feeling that there was just a little too much here and that it detracted from Tom and Angela's story. This is third in a series and you may want to pick up the previous titles in order to easily follow the story here.

Potential was there.,

This review is from: Be Mine Forever (The Vampire Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
I read the other 2 books in this series and loved them. Be Mine Forever ... had the potential to wow you. The characters were secondary in the last book so their relationship had alread begun. The potential in the book excited me but the reality of the book left me wondering why. The 'big fight scene' was less then a sentence long and there was just no prickly chemistry moments that make you laugh wondering how they are going to get past that. I had hoped for more.
