It could have been so good...,

If it wasn't just wrong. This book features engaging characters, and a plot that is homage to Lord of the Flies, so it could have been really excellent. Instead, you're just left with a sense of, "Well, no." It still draws you in and stays with you for a while, so it's not a bad book, it's just disappointing that Donald gets it wrong when she was so close.
