If you enjoy instrumental spiritual music then you would like this product. However, I prefer a great vocalist to complement the instrumental, and I am dissatisfied with the CD.

I ordered this album because it had all the music that we hear at Mass every week. And since the attack on Sept. 11, I have found such solace in this. It brings me peace and helps me to realize, that still, my faith will get me through.

I had a really rough day today and was most joyous to see this cd from Amazon.com waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home.

I popped it in my cd player of my hard drive and played the cd while I was reading my day's email. The music on this cd is flowing, relaxing and inspiring. By the end of the first playing of the cd, I found the tightness in my shoulders relaxed and myself humming and singing along with this cd.

It is most refreshing and ranks in with John Tesh's "Pure Hymns" with an added bonus of the songs being contemporary and well known in the Catholic church.

I was kind of leary when I ordered the cd because not all instrumentals are of this calibur and may I say, I do not have one regret in ordering this in the slightest!

When I looked at the liner notes, I was somewhat disappointed that there really weren't any besides a roster of songs on other various recordings of other cds. Even though the songs on "Be Not Afraid" are songs sung frequently in Mass and I know most of the words, it would have been very nice to see the songs printed as part of liner notes.

It's a joy to have this cd in my library! I encourage anyone who likes this type of music to get a copy and play it!

Are you looking for a religious CD that continuously plays familiar music --melding one song into the other? If your answer is yes, then David Philipps is the artist you want. I own almost everyone of Mr. Phillips tapes and I find his music so mellow, prayerful, relaxing and beautiful. He possesses a beautiful gift of making the piano sing, as he so effortlessly plays songs that one has heard often in church. You cannot go wrong with David Philipps music. I highly recommend him!

I'll chime in with the others who wrote wishing the lyrics were included, but other than that, this cd is perfect for those who enjoy background music for quiet times. David Phillips' piano playing is so soothing, one can't help but be uplifted.

When the day is hectic, the world is wild, sit down, put "Be Not Afraid" on, listen to the words, and you can feel yourself unwinding, and probably praying at the same time, as the music sometimes leads to that. The music is moving and relaxing at the same time. The artistry is beautifully completely connected which lends to the relaxation and being so easy to listen to. I've given this to several priests, teachers of religion, and all have found that it definitely is calming, yet can be used for teaching the music of the Church and you can also work with it in the background as well. It was enjoyed by all!

Fantastic!!! We played this durinhg the day that my mother died and it provided all of us comfort and peace as she slipped away from us. We used it at the funeral home as well... It's a wonderful, wonderful CD!

I previously wrote this had some acoustical problems however I Realized the problem is me. I'd tried it in a couple of my CD players and the sound was off, but the settings I used for other CDs were the problem. Once I adjusted the equalizer, I can now say this has to be one of the best CD's I own. The music allows one to feel the emotion of the composer and the mixing is fantastic. Can't say enough about it except if you enjoy relaxing, this beats the competition, hands down.

I am very happy with the cd. Beautiful, simple. Not overdone. I like that it is instrumental. I attend a small church that has never heard these songs and used the cd to sing Here I Am Lord as a special. Looking forward to getting more of his cd's.

When I purchased this CD, I was aware that it was instrumental. I enjoy the music very much, however, it would be made more enjoyable if the album insert would contain the lyrics to the selections. I recom mend it highly.
