Format: Paperback
"Be Obedient" focuses on the life of Abraham and how we can learn to live by faith and trust in God for provision, protection, and guidance.

Wiersbe covers many periods of Abraham's life:

1. Leaving the familiar surroundings of Ur.
2. Having sons with Sarah and Hagar.
3. Interactions with his nephew Lot.
4. Obeying God to the point of being willing to sacrifice his precious son Isaac.
5. Finding a suitable wife for Isaac.

Both Abraham's successes and failures are covered in the book and Wiersbe suggests several ways on how we may learn from Abraham's life.

An excellent read. Enjoy and be encouraged. Recommended.

Wiersbe's "Be" series books are all worth purchasing. His explanations of Bible passages are clear and his applications to daily life give one "food for thought" and challenges for living life as a Christian. He writes about our failures and our mistakes, but what I have frequently said, he does it in a kindly manner. I have enjoed every book by him that I have read. Thanks to him for the time and study it took to write the "Be" series.

I love all the Warren Wiersbe "BE" Series. He explains it in a very easy to understand way. I would totally recommend the entire series to anyone who wants to "dig deep" in the Bible, but in a very easy understandable way.

A fresh look at the book of Genesis. Weirsbe manages to find many "nuggets", and great application from Genesis. We found a few surprises in passages that had been studied many times previously.

I have yet to find a Wiersbe commentary that I did not enjoy. Has some great insights that have been helpful to our congregation.

Be Basic is typical of most of the work of Warren Wiersbe, one of the giants of our faith. Excellent content that shows his vast knowledge of and familiarity with the Scriptures and the common history of the times that is not included in the Scriptures. He presents his knowledge in a familiar and friendly style that shows a special regard for the readers who are not so knowledgeable, and might be intimidated by a more academic approach. A friend and I are using this series as course material for a weekly chapter-by-chapter through the bible study. We both enjoy his books immensely.

This and others in the series are great preaching thoughts for many passages. Even the ones I don't use help me in thinking of approaches to communicating the content of passages.
