A must read for all parents with school age children. Jawanaza Kunjufu focuses on the Black community however; this book is an excellent road map for all parents to follow.

Every parent and their children read and discuss this outstanding book. Kunjufu is a pioneer in education. I remember reading his works in 1989, and as a teacher 2008 hearing new strategies and thinking "this ain't new". He has understood the key too teaching "today's" children for decades.
