"Be the Star You Are" claims to have 99 gifts, which are really one BIG gift, the gift of life divided into 99 easy to digest and easy to use gifts that will change your life and how you look at and deal with people. Th whole book sparkles with Cynthia Brian's personality. You will feel that you want to know her better when you read it and you will be looking forward to her next book. Like any great book, the benefit to you is when you apply what you read to your own life. So do it! You will like it! Oh yes, you have to read it first!

Be The Star You Are is a wholesome book of stories that, to me, reflect the good life. I use Cynthia Brian's book when I read to seniors and plan to use it to read to youth-at-risk at our local Juvenile Hall. I volunteer and read in a program called "Reading Spells Success" and plan to use this book as part of my material. Keep them coming Cynthia !

This book is an accurate expression of the author. Having known Cynthia for 15 years, I can say that she really has lived every word of this book, and that every story, every experience, every insight comes straight from her heart! Cynthia is blessed with a childhood rich in love and human values, and she has spent her life sharing that bounty with her family, friends, and everyone else whose life she has touched. Reading this book is like talking with Cynthia about her deepest feelings. Spend time with a truly loving person -- on every page!

There are three types of 'Self-Help' authors.

The Wanna-be Greats who tell you what to do and have no idea about how you should accomplish these goals.

The Imitate Great who tell you what to do and promise that if you simply imitate them you will achieve success.

And The Great who show you how to discover who you are, define what success means to you, and give you action items to help you achieve this greatness for yourself on your own terms.

Cynthia, with this book you have reached the level of a GREAT author. Thanks for a wonderful and useful tool that anyone could use to achieve his or her own success.

This book is full of heart. Cynthia cares a lot about living with passion and heart and her book is a reflection of that. Great book to have around so that you can select one of the 99 chapters based on the theme that's important to you at the moment; the chapter you pick is sure to be full of wisdom and inspiration.

As always, Cynthia Brian has provided inspiration and insight for bringing out the best in all of us. A great read for all, young and old.

I cerainly can see why all of those famous authors give this book the sendoff it has received. If the reader could develop the marvelous attitude that ms.Brian extolls, Life would be lived to the Max.

I carry this book in my brief case, handy for "stolen moments" of reading and sharing. I am sure I have read each insightful and entertaining story at least twice. Cynthia's 99 gifts for living life has made a difference in my life; she reminds us to strive for our fullest potential each and every day. This is a book that should be shared with others; a gift that will inspire and encourage a higher plateau of living.

The stories in the book, Be The Star You Are, are very inspirational and explain all of life's lessons. In this book, there are many stories with many learning experiences to be told. The stories told include many life lessons to be learned and many creative exercises at the end of the short stories. Many of the stories are farm-related. Some of the stories are not about Cynthia herself, rather about her family or even her friends experiences. However, Cynthia wrote down all of the stories in the book.

Be The Star You Are was a very interesting read, and was a very educational experience. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needed a book to read just from time to time as a time filler. The best part about this book is how well written all of these stories are. As well, this book is great if you are on a long car ride or you need a short read before going to bed. Even reading a couple stories when you have extra time in class or during your break at work.

If my friends or family ever needed a recommendation for a short, good book to read on a plane ride or just a book before bed, I would definitely recommend this book. This book is definitely one of the ones I would re-read multiple times

While reading this book from Cynthia, I felt I had acquired a new friend, mentor and coach. This came at a time I needed all three and Cynthia carried me thru from beginning to end. I feel much more prepared to keep moving forward and staying on task for the goals I had set forth. She encourages you to laugh at yourself and keep true to the real priorities of life, yet continuing to Dream Big!
