A fun and activity book for children, written entirely in rhyme. In the book "Be Street Smart - Be Safe / Raising safety minded children", Careful Lee the hound teaches children how to be alert and aware of safety, without frightening them. Since the book lends itself to acting out the different scenarios, and "What if..." games, kids don't even realize that they are learning very important lessons. Yet, the lessons get ingrained in their minds. The book is written for children in grades K-6th but can be read to and understood by children as young as 3 years of age.

Congratulations! This book is the best thing I have seen on the subject [of child safety]. In fact it may be the best thing that anybody has written on the subject. It is excellent.

As a child and youth worker counsellor I am always looking for great resources to use when working with children/teens. "Be Street Smart - Be Safe" is one of those great resources! It is written to be very appealing and interesting to children. Children will have fun doing the exercises while learning some very valuable lessons on personal safety in and outside the home.
