i hope they hurry up and come out with one for the youngest students. This one is only for ages 7-10. I need one for my three year old who is in pre-k and will be taking standardized tests this spring! Standardized tests are the only way to tell if a kid is smart or if a teacher is good. Sometimes my kid just wants me to read a picture book to him. I tell him that picture books are for losers. The common core says we should be reading non fiction and so that is what we do. Tonight at bedtime it'll be our national grid bill and if he is really good, we can delve into the ACA pamphlets we picked up at the doctor last week.

I hope that this book fails and fails hard. The standardized testing situation in this country is out of control. Normally I do not review books that I have not read. But this cover, the sheer propaganda, and the lack of shame on the cover for torturing kids, schools and teachers -- are very sad.
