5.0 out of 5 stars Be With You
Since age 16, Sage Nicole has been desperately in love with Rally Teveare. He's ignored her and distanced himself from her until she feels like an outsider. It doesn't seem to matter that she's been a part of his family since she lost her parents when she was 10 years old. She's finally come to realize that he'll never belong to her or feel the same way...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not well written, editing terrible, March 12, 2010
This review is from: Be With You (Kindle Edition)
First, let me start off by saying that I really like Marie Rochelle and have read many of her books. This book does fall into category. There was no character development other than Sage saying over and over how Rally had Aponi who was the perfect woman and he should marry her. Rally ran hot and cold with his feelings for Sage and it really didn't make sense to me. Lastly, the editing was absolutely terrible. Words were misspelled, the wrong article was placed in a sentence. Terrible - the editor of this book should be shot. Again, save your money, this one is not worth it.

The only word I can think of to describe this book is GARBAGE!!!! Absolute GARBAGE!!! I wanted to kill both the heroine and hero. There were no sympathetic characters whatsoever in this book. Save your money.

I didn't and decided to give this book a try anyway. I wish I had saved my 3.99 for a book worthy of my money.

I don't know if Sage had low self esteem or not, but she was the stupidest female book character.

When Rally constantly told Sage he didn't want her and that Sage was a bother to him and his girlfriend and that he and his girlfriend were tired of looking back and seeing Sage chasing after them, I thought she would get the hint and move on. Sage didn't get the hint. She said to herself "one day I'm going to get the hint and move on". So what does Rally do? He allowed his girlfriend to call Sage names and degrade her at every opportunity and then rewarded the girlfriend with a shopping spree and fussed Sage out for irritating the girlfriend. Was that hint enough for Sage? No. She says to herself " One day I'm going to give up and move on".

Rally was not just mean to Sage he was basically verbally abusive. And Sage just passed it off as his bad attitude. And would go out of her way to make up to him.

Neither character had any character and the writing as well as the whole story was just plain awful and thats not even considering all the grammatical errors. I wouldn't recommend this book to any one I wanted to remain friends with. I think the book should have been named "Be Without You" because it should have never been released.

If this was the first book I had ever read by this author I probably would never read any more of her books. Fortunately I have read some of her other books and I know she writes much better than this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Daytime Soaps Should Not Be The Basis For a Book, December 15, 2009
This review is from: Be With You (Paperback)
First I would like to say that Ms. Rochelle should fire her editor. There were so many typos in this story that they no longer jarred me but I actually got used to filling in the missing words with the correct one while reading. Also there were tons of consistancy errors as well from the heroines age to the amount of time between the heroine's wedding and the night she makes love to the hero.

Anyhoo, this book was like watching a bad soap opera. Everytime you thought they were going to have sex they didn't and they were always broken apart because the hero said something that was either cruel or exceptionally stupid. Yes, as you can guess the hero was a jerk. I understand using another woman to keep another woman at bay but to say such cruel things as "my parents never wanted you because you were another mouth to feed."

WTF?

The heroine was weak as well despite the fact she was described as a "spit fire" and "independent". I didn't see it. She lived AND worked with the hero/adoptive brother. Also, she was not worth rooting for due to her not telling her fiance what she'd done behind his back the day before their wedding and childish things like wanting the hero to "stick only the tip in". Puh-lease. I thought I was back in the 11th grade.

Buyer beware.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Crazy about this book, April 26, 2011

I do have to agree with some of the other reviews here. I did not like Rally's character. Some of the things he said to Sage was uncalled for and unforgiveable. Even cruel, then allowing that Biatch of a girl friend of his to say and get away with some of the things she said and did to Sage.... are you kidding me? And she still loved him and didn't move on with the better man. Everytime I thought that Sage had developed a back bone, she didn't, maybe the characters do deserve each other after all. This is certainly not one of Ms. Rochelle's better books. Well I quickly put this book on Amazon and sold it, I just could not keep it.

This book was a whirlwind of crazy. The heroine had no self-esteem and the hero was a bully. Along with all of the grammatical errors, I was very disappointed.

The heroine annoyed me, so I can only give it a 2, because I just wanted to stop reading because she was so stupid

Sage had been in love with Rally for years, but he was mean and nasty to her, throwing his B*tch of a girlfriend in her face and letting her disrespect Sage at every turn9 he supposedly could only be happy if he married a native american). She finally finds someone who wants to be with her(Julian) and every chance she gets she confessing her love for Rally, or letting him grope her while Julian is her "boyfriend"(they kissed once the whole book). So annoying!

I did see some of the editing errors the other reviewers spoke of, but it wasn't bad to the point of distraction.

I might have liked the story better if the heroine actually was tolerable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be With You, February 5, 2009
This review is from: Be With You (Kindle Edition)
Since age 16, Sage Nicole has been desperately in love with Rally Teveare. He's ignored her and distanced himself from her until she feels like an outsider. It doesn't seem to matter that she's been a part of his family since she lost her parents when she was 10 years old. She's finally come to realize that he'll never belong to her or feel the same way.

Rally is determined to be true to his Native American roots, which is why he's kept the beautiful and shallow Aponi in his life. It's also a useful way to keep Sage at arm's length; for him she's pure temptation. More and more, his feelings for Sage have become stronger and it's all he can do to keep from ravishing her. Now the possibility of losing her to another has become a reality. Does he have the will power to let her go? And if not, is he willing to forsake his Shawnee heritage to offer her the commitment she deserves?

Be With You is a bittersweet tale of unrequited and denial. There's a genuine level of intensity between Rally and Sage that comes alive in every scene. I could feel the heat rising from the pages whenever this pair had a confrontation! No wonder Rally was always so ornery! Poor Sage found out just how horny he was because he couldn't keep his hands off her and kept going Alpha every chance he got. It was painful to watch how much he hurt her as he never had a kind word. She never did anything to deserve his cruelty. Still, Sage is assertive and comes back swinging. She makes him fight for the right to have a place in her world. The real question was did Rally earn it? At times, I didn't think so. He put her through so much.

Ms. Rochelle reminds us that love doesn't make sense, and if it's the real deal, it's unconditional. Sage loved Rally and when he stopped being a jerk, Rally couldn't deny that he needed Sage to be truly happy. This story reminds you how sometimes building a strong past with person can carve a pathway to a happy future. Once you set your feet down onto that road there's no turning back when it's the right person at the right time.
