About the Author

With over 20 years experience in the fitness and dance profession, Suesan Lazarus Pawlitski is one of Santa Barbara's best kept secrets. Having never truly enjoyed exercise, sports, or sweating much, Suesan created Tone-Up so she, and others, could achieve optimal fitness results with the least amount of work.. Suesan is the owner of Tone-Up Santa Barbara, Health and Fitness Services. Suesan has a BA in Dance from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is an Aerobic Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Certified Aerobic Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Weightroom Specialist. Suesan's work is primarily with women as well as specialty markets like seniors and female teen athletes. She lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, Garry, and teenagers, Briana and Tommy.

I just got this book only three weeks ago and am very impressed. I was very sore the first time and I consider myself to be in 'reasonable' shape (I run/cardio 5-7 times per week) - a delicious ouch. I am in week three and feel changes happening already, and am telling my fitness friends to get it for themselves. In appearance it looks like many other workout books: text and photos of a woman (the author) demonstrating the movements. But, the way she isolates muscle structure and puts it in order is very, very effective - I am seeing definite results in the three weeks (2x/week) that I have been doing the workout. I am planning on getting the tape as well. If you want a workout that WORKS but is adaptable to your own fitness level, this is a great one.

This book was very enjoyable to read and offers a lot of great information. I have learned so much from reading it, and I am very motivated to get into shape. The exercises outlined in the book are well illustrated and easy to follow. Suesan has a very good approach to achieving a healthy, stronger body. Her style is very user friendy and is not intimidating.
