Legendary Burrell and much much more,

I had the pleasure and honor of hearing Kenny Burrell at Yoshi's in Oakland on Sept. 4 when he played many of the songs featured here. Fantastic evening, and was so happy to see he was vintage Burrell. Not only that, he featured two fabulous new talents, a sax player and a drummer not to be believed. You gotta get this album, not only to hear this legend, but to get in on the CD that started these new talents in the jazz world!!

This is terrific stuff. Kenny Burrell's 75th birthday celebration album was fine music and a wonderful affirmation that age need be no barrier to artistry. On this live outing, his next recording venture, Burrell is in splendid form and in the company of stimulating collaborators.
