5.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy a jar of baby food...this is worth the investment!!!, August 21, 2008
I absolutely LOVE my Babycook! I had been buying baby food for my little one and figured I was spending about $120 a month if not more! I was hesitant to spend the money on the Babycook, but I figured it would pay for itself in a month and I can use if for the next little one. So, I bit the bullet and got it and I am not looking back at all! It is wonderful! I love that I can do everything in one place and not have a bunch of pots and dishes to clean afterwards. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I can't believe I even bought a jar of baby food! I love that I can use the juices from the veggies or fruit to mix back into the food or I sometimes mix the fruit juice with water and give him a little juice drink.

It is comforting to know EXACTLY what is going into your little one. You can control the consistency of the food you are preparing as well. I do like that I can make mashed/whipped potatoes and leave the skin on (where all the nutrients are) and it is still smooth enough for my boy to eat.

There is not one bad thing I can think of to mention other than I wish I had found this sooner!

I did buy the Tupperware ice cube tray with a cover so I can freeze extra baby food for later. And I bought the book Blender Baby Food as well.

Again, this is totally worth the investment. I would recommend this to any parent or caregiver!

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDEFUL!!, September 22, 2008
By D. Miner (Pendleton Indiana) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought mine in France about 4 years ago while we were living there...

It is so wonderful to do a quick meal for the little ones. Instead of doing a separate meal, I just put what the rest of the family was eating in it and cooked it without the salt or certain spices.

It is so great because you can just throw in a handful of frozen green beans and a morsel of chicken...voila... steamed and thoroughly cooked and pureed and ready to feed to baby without all the extra fillers and preservatives that come in canned foods.

Make big batches and freeze in ice cube trays to defrost later in predetermined portions.

And check out Ruth Yaron's book "super baby food" for a plethora of information on feeding baby healthy and inexpensively. She is a nutrition Goddess!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely awesome., September 3, 2008
I am so glad I bought the Babycook! I decided early on that I wanted to make my son's babyfood. Before I bought the Babycook I was using a pan, a steamer basket and a large food processor. Now I have so little to clean, it's great. And the Babycook really works. I love the fact that you set it to steam and it automatically shuts itself off when it's done. There's no worrying that it will burn out. I will recommend this to all of my mom friends without hesitation!
