My 2 year old daughter loves these pop up books and was so excited when this one arrived. It's such a clever design and she particularly loves the blinking lights of the fireflies. The only complaints that I have is that the spine came loose very quickly and one of the pages fell apart after only pulling the flap twice so now when we come to that page, she promptly tells me "broken". Love the books but was disappointed in how quickly it fell apart, even when trying to be careful with the pages.

We own many of the "Bugs" pop-up books, and this one is just as wonderful as the others. This one even includes "lightning bugs" that blink! The book is very colorful inside and out. My kids and I love to read it again and again. David Carter is known for his exceptional "pop-up book" work. This book keeps in line with that tradition.

Our grandchildren loved the pop up books by David A Carter so we bought one for our grand nephew who was visiting from France with his mom who is originally from NY. He enjoyed the book very much.

My class of preschoolers loves all the David A. Carter Pop-up Books!!!
It is definately a book that should be read to the children. I would not allow them to do it themselves for fear of tearing the pop-ups. If you are reading it 'one on one' and controlled the child as they did the pop-up I am sure this would work.

I was given the idea of purchasing a Pop Up Baby's Book for a Christening gift. It never entered my mind to select something like this. I think it will be a keepsake for the baby for a long, long time. Even older siblings will be able to enjoy it. It was a great idea. Beach Bugs was recommended to me by someone who has a toddler and always reaches for this book for story time.

Cute pop up book but the book is so small, it's not nearly as interesting to look at if it was larger. The pop ups and pull-outs are not all that sturdy, and tear easily. I read this book to two year olds and the entire theme was lost on them because the visuals were much too small and too delicate for kids to manage without damaging them.

This is a very cute book. It is about one line sentences, the whole book will take about five minutes to read. The illustrations are all of bugs, but the pop-ups are really cute. The last one has fireflies that really light up (via a battery in the backboard of the book). My son loves it and loves the pop-outs especially. I recommend it.

I purchased this directly through Amazon. It came within a week with Free Super Saving Shipping. It arrived in a cardboard shipping box. Nothing was damaged during shipping, and it arrived new.

I love these books series. My daughter loves them and now loves to share them with her little sister. The pop up are strong and have stand the test of 2 kids. Love this books.

My grandchildren loved this book and read it over and over. They love the bug series and this is one of their favorites. My grandchildren are 2 to 4 years old.

My grandchildren love this book, what a treat that the fireflies light up! The youngest one has even learned to open the most intricate pop-up. A just-for-fun book!
