I bought this because I really want just a dvd of ocean and waves with the natural sounds. This has lovely scenes, but the "natural sounds" described in the product info is just a loop of ocean waves playing in the background. Hearing waves breaking at the wrong moment, like when the wave is obviously receding or when the water is completely still throws the whole effect off. It somehow makes the video jarring instead of relaxing.
Still on the hunt for just a simple wave video with matching sounds...I saw one once on TV a few months back and have not been able to discover what it was. So on with the search. . .

I love these videos. I think they were done exceptionally well, and I treasure them. These enable you to have a relaxing stacation whether it's for a week or just a weekend. I bought some for a friend who is stuck in the home recovering from surgery.
If you think of it as an "experience" at the beach, you'll appreciate it when looking up at the sky, you will still hear the waves crashing even if you don't see the waves. Sometimes (not often) the camera will pan the sky for a flying seagull, or a camera shot may be at the top of a cliff. But, if you're looking for the experience of sitting your chair right in front of the crashing waves where the scene never changes, I recommend "Endless Beach" by Living Art of Mood Distributors that I bought in Bed, Bath & Beyond. This video "Wave" being sold here has these "endless" options also. I have one of those tvs where an image will leave a permanent impression on my screen if the scene does not change often enough. So, these videos are stress-free for me, but I have "Wave's" "endless" options for whenever I purchase a different tv. I also own "Blue Seas" of this series and love it! I made these purchases just before the oil leak happened, and I appreciate them so much more now.
