Living in the tropics I've always kept a straw mat in my car at all times. They can be bulky rolled up. This mat is quite compact when folded but has a surprisingly large surface area. I will certainly consider buying more of these.

I ended up buying two of these cause one was a little too small for 2 people. I like how you can just fold it up after your done using it. I prefer having the bamboo as a mat because the food and other stuff can lay flat and still, unlike a blanket. However when the wind comes by, it blows away but you can fix that by putting something heavy on it. I wish it was waterproof underneath, but it's good enough.

We purchased this beach mat in anticipation of Caribbean cruise, and visiting some island beaches. We wanted something easy to fold and carry (in a back pack), and this item fit the bill perfectly. It's not only lightweight, easy to carry, but it's size is more than sufficient to have two adults sitting on the beach, and not feel crowded.

I'd strongly recommend this mat to anyone looking for a travel sized and weight unit that can be packed into luggage for any mode of travel.

It's big enough for two adults to sit or one adult to lay down. I got two of them to put together. I like that it folds up and is pretty compact. But the material feels like it could be flimsy. There hasn't been any wear and tear on mine yet, and I bought these a year ago, but I haven't used them that much. I've used them maybe 4 times. But it is great to place on damp grass so that you stay dry. And perfect for the beach. It's easy and small enough to just leave in the car to use anytime!

the mat was not as big as i expected. only big enough for one person. i like the fact the it can fold up. but the quality was not great. will not buy again.

Just what we needed and for the right price. Light and easy to carry. Folds up small. My husband and I are not tiny people and two of these worked perfectly. If there's a breeze you will need to put items on the corners. Other than that. We love them!!!

I gave this as a gift to a beach going teenager. She says that she likes it very much!
