I use these tea lights in my oil burner as the scent mingles nicely with whatever I'm burning. Alone they have a mild fragrance that is barely discernible. The only caution is not to use these candles in an oil burner that doesn't have an opening at the back to let out the heat. I've been using them safely for years so I find this is not a concern with the type of oil burner I have. You may want to be extra cautious and only use these candles in open top holders and containers.
