This mat does what it is supposed to. I work out in my garage and this mat really has taken away the impact on my knees while I do the Insanity workouts. Would recommend this mat to anyone doing any high impact workouts...

The quality is good and it is definitely cushy, but the mat is way too narrow. I feel like I'm trying to workout on a balance beam.

This is my second Beachbody Jump Mat. I've had my first one for about two years and it's held up great! I bought this for my girlfriend and it's starting to break down after a couple of weeks! It's a shame because this is one of the nicest jump mats out there, and it's priced accordingly, but the quality isn't there anymore.

I hate to be negative; however, this mat is not as tough as you would think. I am only on week one, of month two of Insanity and the mat shows signs of tearing! At this rate I will have to throw it out after the 60 days! I don't even stand on it for all the exercises. So, do you research, and look around. There has to be a tougher mat out there to stand up to jumping up and down, and side to side!

I got this to protect my carpet, but it slides and slips all over. I spent more time fixing it then working out. I returned it immediately.

Great price on Amazon. The Mat is pliable but solidly thick. I will hold creases for a little while if you fold it over so it is best to roll it instead. I live in an apartment and it does cushion me jumping around so it doesn't sound to bad below me. It picks up dirt and lint easily so clean it often. I think it will survive all the punishment I plan on giving it for the next year of service.

*Disclaimer* I am a Beachbody Coach, but I am not linking to my site, and I will not make any money if you purchase from them. My goal is not to sell, but to inform. That being said, this mat retails at $59.85 on their site, which is about $10 cheaper than the current price here on Amazon. Either way, you're still buying it from Beachbody (I think they charge more here to account for Amazon's cut?).

Some background: I am currently doing the Focus T25 program. I learned the hard way that brand new (Ryka)cross-trainers make my knees hurt, and work out barefoot. That was fine on plush carpet, but then I had to move my workout space to a place with hardwood floors, and the pain returned. I had a really hard time deciding whether to get this mat or the Plyo Mat (the Manduka Black Mat Pro), because I was unable to find a direct comparison of the two. Since I am a college student, I went with this one (even at the coaches' discount, there's about a $25 price difference).

I have had this mat for two weeks, and it has made a huge difference in my workouts. It did not move around at all on the hardwood. I have also used it on Berber carpeting. It does move around a little on that, but not enough to impede my workouts. My knees stopped hurting almost immediately after beginning to use it. I also do yoga and stretching routines on it, and it does a great job of protecting my bony areas from the hard floor. My hands do slide a bit in downward dog, and I have to readjust myself, but it doesn't bother me very much. It's not showing any scratch marks or signs of wear so far, and the indentations from my feet and hands disappear quickly once I move them.

It did have a bit of a plastic smell to it when I first opened it, but nothing major, and that faded quickly.
