The bead kit is very nice and I recommend for older kids. I bought this for an 8 year old and it was a little more complicated for her than I thought it would be. However, for the price I think the beads are very good quality and a nice variety that work well together. My daughter was delighted.

There are plenty of supplies included in this item to make a lot of items. It's as much fun for adults as it is for kids; seems to be more interesting to girls than boys.

It was clear that our 8 year-old would love making things with this collection, but the quality of the beads was better than we expected. They are not just for "dress up," they do actually work for casual jewelry. The instructions could have been a little clearer and with better drawings as it was hard to tell exactly what they wanted you to do. Not at all easy for an 8 year-old, and took some trial and error for the adults.
