The bead kit is very nice and I recommend for older kids. I bought this for an 8 year old and it was a little more complicated for her than I thought it would be. However, for the price I think the beads are very good quality and a nice variety that work well together. My daughter was delighted.

There are plenty of supplies included in this item to make a lot of items. It's as much fun for adults as it is for kids; seems to be more interesting to girls than boys.

It was clear that our 8 year-old would love making things with this collection, but the quality of the beads was better than we expected. They are not just for "dress up," they do actually work for casual jewelry.

The instructions could have been a little clearer and with better drawings as it was hard to tell exactly what they wanted you to do. Not at all easy for an 8 year-old, and took some trial and error for the adults.

Nice product, but the item comes with a glass cover. The first one I ordered came with the glass broken. I returned it and reordered the item only to have the second one arrive with cracked glass.

I got this for my niece for Christmas, and she had already used most of the beads 2 days later! I think this gift is great for a young girls that loves to make things...

I ordered this jewelry kit as a gift for a 5th grade girl. The only disappointing thing was that it didn't include fishing line but it called for that to make some of the necklaces.

I purchased this for my niece who is 6 years old. First of all, the beads in this set are very beautiful and much better quality than other ones that I've seen online. We have made some beautiful earrings and bracelets that do not look homemade at all. It comes with all the wire and connections you would need. Note that you do need to have your own pliers and scissors. That being said, this set is not really made for kids younger than about 7 years old and you still need an adult to help out. The instructions are a little difficult to decipher and you basically have to use some common sense to make it work. Since I had no past experience in jewelry making, it did take a little effort in trying to figure out how to put the pieces together. But in the end, we made some beautiful looking jewelry. If you're looking for a kid's jewelry set, this one is definitely too advanced for them.
