This is an excellent book! (though it's almost more of a pamphlet, as another reviewer mentioned, but it contains quite a bit of information)

A friend lent this to me when I was originally learning bead crochet, and it was very helpful -- though I recommend that any beginner look at a variety of references and instructions to help with the learning process. This site has some fabulous videos: [...] (I am not affiliated with this site in any way, I merely found it useful).

Now that I understand the basic technique, however, by far the best part of this book is the gallery. It contains many pictures of beautiful pieces by serious bead crochet artists. Most books only have fairly simple patterns, and it's wonderful to see some truly inspiring examples of complex bead crochet.

This book is the best I have seen for those wanting to learn bead crochet. It has step by step picture illustrations to get you started. Lots of great patterns to start you on your way to creating beautiful crocheted jewerly. The part I like the best about this book are the pattern for using different types of beads. Judith out did herself on this book and book Two is even better. Check out "Patterns & Graphing for Bead Crochet Ropes". You will never get tired of this technique with all the great patterns Judith shares in these books.

I own all of this author's books and she is a very talented bead artist who explains bead crochet in easy to understand directions using clear photo's and good descriptions. There is a great selection of innovative designs and patterns to choose from for your project. You can also take portions of the different patterns and make a lovely crochet piece that is all your own.

The book was recommended by an Instructor as being the most clearly written. I agree the instructions are clear and easy to follow. But feel some other books are equally as good, and present more material than this one.
