I've made several of the critters and found the directions easy to follow and accurate. For younger children, using regular pony beads and waxed linen (increasing the length of the cord by at least 1 1/2 times)makes it easy for little fingers to master with just a bit of help. I plan to make more for Christmas ornaments next year.

Once again, Ms. Bhatt has made beading easy with her wonderful descriptions and diagrams. This time she allows the bead enthusiast to create charming land and sea creatures without the headache of deciphering complex directions. This is a beading book that will assist both adults and children who wish to take their beading to a new level.

11 year old daughter got this for x-mas. She sat down immediately and was able to make 3 different animals the 1st night. Directions are pretty easy to follow and keeps her busy. She loves the book. Got my wire, jump rings and container of beads from Mike's with coupons. She's never beaded before and her creations actually turn out like the photos in the book.

This book was very helpful, gave very good directions, I only wish that there would have been a progression to more complicated projects. Definitely a good starting off point to learn basic technique.

if i had known i would need extra items to make this work i am not sure i would have purchased it.

For the most part, I was SO shocked how poorly the finished items look. The CAT does not even look like a cat. 90% of the imagines I would not even waste my materials. The finished pieces look SO fragile, using one on a key chain or anything but a greeting card or in a scrapbook special effect would be foolish. I am so VERY disappointed. Of all books this one needed to show the inside pages so you KNEW what was really inside. Amazon needs to screen their entries better. I will be returning this one.

This might be one of the most amazing craft books ever composed. Your kids will be better people after building these critters.

The book was good for what is was but it was not as I expected. It used wire not string.
