This book is a wonderful reference for anyone with a little experience in Kumihimo braiding and moderate experience in beading. The illustrations are beautiful and the technique diagrams easy to understand. Highly recommend this for bead and fiber artists wanting to expand their knowledge and ideas.

Great Book, April 11, 2009
This review is from: Beads and Braids (Paperback)
Definitively, Jacqui Carey is a master. This lady did it again. In this book you will find braiding sequences for Ladder braid, two types of Round braids, two types of Flat Braids and two types of Spiral Braids; also Rectangular and Square Braid.
The second part of the book, "Beading After Braiding" shows different projects which give you lots of ideas to incorporate beads to your after-braided work. .
Then comes a section with a gallery of different projects.
Then you will find "Beading Before Braiding" chapter where you will find many projects and easy to follow explanations. After this chapter there is another gallery of pictures with different projects as well.
The 3rd chapter "Beading During Braiding" is dedicated to teach how to incorporate beads, pendants etc during braiding.
Then comes another gallery of projects, the chapter dedicated to "Ends and Joins" and another gallery of projects.
In the galleries, She doesn`t say which kind of braid she used to create the project but if you know the different types of kumihimo braids that are shown in the book, it is going to be easy to figure it out.
Absolutely a great book.
