5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
As I am a beader, I related to this book. It was a very fun read and interesting on the beading side too.

As with all the books I purchase, I donate them to the local library for others to share in the joy of reading. Thank you..

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I have read the author's previous book so I was very excited about her second book. What a letdown. My understanding was Ms. Smith wrote the ovarian plot because of her sister's death. 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, October 9, 2007
I have read the author's previous book so I was very excited about her second book. What a letdown. My understanding was Ms. Smith wrote the ovarian plot because of her sister's death. The problem is the book concentrates more on the cancer and Kitzi's friend's terminal illness than with the mystery plot. Also, there are paragraphs of medical terminoloy related to ovarian cancer and such simplistic comments by the character Kitzi as "this cancer is horrible and we must find a cure!" Duh! I think the reader realizes that and doesn't need to be dumbed down. In some areas of the book it felt like I was reading a medical terminology textbook. When I read a "cozy" mystery I want to be entertained and not walking away depressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, funny, witty and mysterious, March 8, 2008
I really liked this book and this series. Kitzi Camden is such a great character and I love her family and friends. I found this book to be exciting, funny and the mystery was really good. I would definitely buy the next Kitzi Camden book. If you like a good mystery this is it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first, October 8, 2009

I liked this story better than the first in the series "Bead on Trouble". But it is hard to read all the references to cancer, not really entertaining. The "Ned" character is a great addition to the chaos in Kitzi's life. Makes us all wish we had a best friend like Beth. The story was very plausible. All of us beaders just can't get enough info about beads!
