I find this tool invaluable and love the resulting rounded bead-like crimp it produces. It is a very clean and professional look when finishing a necklace or bracelet.

Note that the crimper does not work well on very fine (0.14) beading flex wire because the crimps tend to slip (though they make great little spacer beads). Read the instructions and size recommendations carefully - the manufacturer does know best!

Just wish that there was one made specifically for the fine gauge wires....

Great tool, perfect for having smaller, nicer crimps (as crimp covers obviously must be larger than the crimp) and no seams as with covers. Definitely recommended.

I tried the crimping pliers and I just could not make them work. I had a friend who told me about the magical crimping pliers and I LOVE THEM! They work great and the crimp looks like a round bead! YEA!!!

I like the magical crimper, and the finished product looks very good.
But I gave it a three star because there wasn't enough information on the webpage. I wanted pliers for 0.019 inch wires, and this one is only for 0.014 to 0.015 inches. Given that magical crimps don't hold well unless the crimping tool used is the right one for the wire diameter, it would be useful if the website mentions on which wire it would work.

NOTE: (as another reviewer said before) the green handle is for 0.014 inch wires,a nd purple handle s for 0.019 inch wires.

This is one of my favorite crimping tools! It makes such a clean, professional finish to any bracelet or necklace. No need for crimp covers. I don't use any other kind of crimping tool unless I absolutely have to.

Instructions: Make sure you center the crimp tube in the hollow part of the tool, crimp, and see a ravioli shape. Half-turn and crimp again until a smooth bead is created.

Special note about the requirements of the GREEN-handled Bead Smith Magical Bead Crimper: It works only with 2x2mm crimps and .014 - .015 wire.

(There is also a purple-handled one, which accommodates .019 wire.)

Do not buy this product. It does not hold onto the wire. The crimp fails and the jewelry falls apart.
