I was very excited about this author's first book so I see no reason not to also like this second one. She has 6 basic stitches with the emphasis on peyote in all its types. Three patterns for spiral rope for bracelet, necklace, and lariat. This is followed by patterns in 6 sitches. They include rings in peyote, eyeglass chain and bracelet in daisy, cellphone strap and bracelet in herringbone, necklace and bracelet in netting, earrings and pendant in brick stitch, bracelet and choker in RAW. Two pages on basic tools and supplies which include the latest materials, 3 pages called basic stitch maps illustrating the stitches. Then a "bonus" section on peyote. This includes bracelet in even peyote, ring in two drop peyote, bracelet and beaded bead necklace in tubular peyote and a lovely spiral necklace in peyote. Then comes 3 dinensional peyote with a miniature jewelry box and tiny tote bag. Followed by circular peyote with an applique, and a curly bracelet and frilled pendant. Then odd-count peyote with a cellphone strap, brooch and choker. The instructions include both words and color charts and lots of tips. The beads used are given in both millimeter sizes and the 8s and 11s which are the sizes used in the western world. I think that for the price this is excellent value and is good for self learning or with a class. I haven't made anything yet so will upgrade this review after I have.

My husband ordered this book for me as a gift, knowing that I like beading, however, I am more into the simple stringing beads projects. I faced these projects with some trepidation, but took them one at a time and grew addicted to making these bead stitches. I made a netted collar with the same stitches shown on the cover but used different beads and the results are phenomenal. I even got my mother addicted to making the spiral stitch bracelets from the very first project.

So here's the skinny, the diagrams are easy to follow, even for the novice, the beads selected for each project are fairly common to find in your local bead and craft store, nothing too special or difficult to obtain, and the resultant product is not just fun to learn but also fun to wear. I gave this book five stars because it is one of the easiest how-to books I have ever used, plus my results come out looking like what the book shows. Also, the author shows different variations on the design using the same stitch but different beads which opens up design options. An excellent choice for beginners and nice for anyone looking for a refresher on the stitches used in the book. The stitches are spiral, peyote, brick stitch, netted stitch and herrigbone and right angle weave.

Disappointed in the projects depicted in the book.There are at best , appropriate for beginners.The description and illustrations for the various bead weaving techniques are depicted well. However the variety of bead weaving stitches is more extensive in Seed Bead Stitching: Creative Variations on Traditional Techniques.

I love to work with beads and am constantly on the look out for good beading books. This book has the best diagrams and directions!!! The projects and pictures are beautiful! I recommend this!

This book is good for a beginner. It has the main stitches and pictures of projects are very detailed. Unfortunately for me, I was looking for something more challenging. Overall, I think this is a good book.

I bought her previous book, and I absolutely loved it. I was so excited to get this one in the mail. Now don't get me wrong, the projects are beautiful, but in her last book, there were alot of pictures of the projects, in this one there are only a couple of each project, it's mostly instruction, in tiny print. I am a visual beader, so it helps to be able to see a project from different angles. I look forward to her next book, and maybe there will be more pictures.

I wanted to learn how to do beadweaving this summer but no one here could teach me. So I bought several books
and learned from them. This book was exceptional in its clear, easy to understand explanations and excellent instructional drawings. I easily progressed from making simple jewelry to successfully making very intricate netted necklaces which turned out so that beautiful that I will proudly display them in my next art show.

I really loved this book! It is just perfect for beginners, instructions are clear and easy to follow and the projects itself are just lovely. It is easy to follow instruction even with lower skills in english. I sincerely recommend this book.

Hi! I just got this book for Christmas. I have bee doing seed bead work for 10 years now, and I still found this book fresh and inspiring. My mom, who doesn't do much with seed beads also found it easy to follow and ordered a copy for herslf.

Anyone with beading experience looking for new ideas and challenges will truly enjoy this book. It has a good variety of projects and techniques and is well illustrated and has good instructions.
