This is a compilation of Alberta Hunter's recordings from the first 20 years of her career. The exciting thing is that the earlier material is stronger but later her voice is better and stronger, which makes it enjoyable although material doesn't match the the songs she sang being one of the original first blues ladies. But as a compilation it gives a good view to her career and has good liner notes. I recommend it warmly.
