This PC game, Beam Breakers, is one of the most visually impressive PC games I've ever played. I have an afinity for science-fiction themed PC games, and I found the graphics of the futuristic environment of Beam Breakers to be quite spectacularly detailed. Racing colorful hovercars through the mile-high architectural canyons of Neo York in the year 2173 A.D. is a lot of fun! The gameplay is varied and fast-moving, and the level of background activity is quite thrilling to behold. I'll tell you this: if I didn't know better, I'd have thought that it would have taken the game designers years to realize this visionary simulation. It's intoxicating and immersive. It's even more fun to play with if you have a joystick with good game controller software such as Logitech. Since this game was introduced way back in '02, its minimum/maximum hardware requirements to run on a Windows PC are small by today's standards. So, it should run excellently on a newer, more powerful and well-configured PC equipped with Windows XP operating system. I don't know how it would perform on Vista. Don't buy this game if you're looking for a lot of sex and violence because, thankfully, there ain't none! Just good old fashioned PC gaming excellence from JoWood, a game developer in Austria that obviously tried very hard to produce something distinctive, exciting and fun to play.

This game is horrible,

I played this game for about 30 minutes before putting up for sale on eBay.It's TERRIBLE! The dialouge is horrible, the gameplay is boring, the vehicles handle horribly and it is frustrating to try to get them to do what you want, when you want it done. The controls are non-linear and the sound effects are bargain basement. The novelty of being able to fly around freely wears off quickly as you realize that there really isn't very much more to this game. This game looks, feels, and sounds like it was made 5 years ago, stored in a forgotten basement, then foisted on an unsuspecting public. Save your money. |
