5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff, April 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bean Harvest Ckbk (Harvest Cookbook) (Paperback)
The most detailed book on beans I have seen, from history, to growing, to cooking. Lovely detail in the book, the photos are magnificent, and the recipes are excellent too.

Would like to have seen the temperatures used, in Celcius as well as Fareheit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!, August 3, 2005
This review is from: Bean Harvest Cookbook (Paperback)
An absolutely delightful book! If you are looking for something MORE than just bean recipes, if beans stir within you curiosity and adventure, you've come to the right place!

The author devotes the first third of the book giving a history lesson, a botany lesson, an anthropology lesson, and even throws in some gorgeous photography. Of BEANS!

And there are some mouth-watering recipes, too. I'm so glad I bought this book!
