I bought this book primarily for the information, not the recipes and its a good thing. The recipes are very old school vegetarian, the kind that turned you off from any sort of vegetarian eating. If you want a really good, more up-to-date bean book, buy Heirloom Beans, if you like the old recipes with an Indian twist (things with curry and such like) then this is the book for you.
