I am unable to remember exactly how I came across these, but try them I did. When you hit the fruit flavors you are readily reminded of Jelly Belly jelly beans. Given that Bertie Bott's Beans are made by Jelly Belly, your taste buds would be correct. So, what makes these particular Jelly Belly jelly beans different from regular Jelly Bellys? The bizarre flavors, of course.

I think I had a vomit bean in my box, but I did not think it was that bad. I also had dirt, which tasted like I thought dirt should taste like. The sardine flavored beans tasted just like fish; strongly like fish. Unfortunately, I got too many of the sardine flavored beans, so I think I have had enough of those. The grass flavored beans tasted like grass. I was able to reasonably handle all these flavors except for the earthworm, which is just gross. I have had real earthworms before, and they did not taste as bad as these jelly beans did.

I am amazed at how authentic the Bertie Bott's Beans tasted. I warn you that they taste so authentic that you may wish you had not eaten them. For children, who often like such things, these candies may be a perfect gift, especially for male children. These candies may be great for someone interested in some sort of a contest. However, if you are past the phase where getting grossed out by nasty tasting stuff, then I recommend you pass these by.

We gave this to my brother who is in high school as a joke. He thought it was funny! We all ended up trying a jelly bean and crossing our fingers that it wasn't gross. The "good" jelly beans are really tasty, and the "bad" ones are really gross - there's no mistaking it when you get a nasty one like moldy cheese or centipede!

Great product, kids love them ... however, before you buy them here, do a bit of research. The price here is roughly double what you can get it at other sites, including jellybelly site.

I sent this to my daughter and son-in-law who are serving in Iraq. The soldiers really had some great laughs over this game.

There are multiple jelly beans of the same color. Multiple colors. Spin the dial to choose the color. For each color there is "good" jelly bean and a "bad" jelly bean. The players each take a jelly bean of that color and see if it is the good one or the bad one. I was a pretty cautious and infrequent participant. But the kids played it multiple times over about a month. Good for laughs.

For example - a black/white speckled one might be skunk or licorice.
A teal one might be toothpaste or mint.

I work with my older brother at an internet company, and was offering a sampling off my yummy Thai treats from a local Asian market.

He brought these out as a rebuttal! I love them! Well, I KIND OF love them!

The risk you run is great, and even while vomit, rotten egg, baby wipes etc are gross... its interesting to taste that strong pungent taste coming from a jelly bean!

His wife found them at Marshalls for [...] a box, so check out there first to save on [...] and give it a shot!

FUN AND DANGEROUS game. Package arrived real early too! I suggest using this during boring days and/or parties! Make sure you get your spit cup/bag/trash ready and some mouthwash or soda.

I got my daughter this game for her 10th birthday sleepover and it was a huge hit. We made sure the girls all had paper towels and water for when things got too gross. I was worried that they would be little divas and refuse to play but they all participated and ate every bean in the box. Lots of giggling and screeching and the next morning the girls were dying to tell me all the gross things they ate.

I used BeanBoozled as a game at my Harry Potter party...everyone went crazy for these beans! Of course, they tasted horrible but it was fun to try to pick out the good beans. Lots of laughs!!

This was a little pricier than I was hoping, but it was the highlight of the party and well worth the extra pennies. The kids loved the distustingness of it...even some of the kids who were too cool for some of the other games REALLY got into this game and loved it :)
