I just had to write this for anyone that might have the same issue as I did. First, the manufacturers of Beano no longer make liquid form. So if you find one, it's certainly not a 'new' package, though it may be within expiration deadlines. Second, I don't believe in expiration deadlines. Just a disclaimer. I bought Beano liquid two years ago, but never opened the package. Last night I had the most horrific abdominal pain. It brought tears to my eyes. Probably the chili and beer I had, though I hadn't problems like that before. I tried to sleep it off, but I kept turning trying to find a relieving position. I finally woke up at 1 in the morning as the pain grew. I ate a GasX strip. Nothing. I had another. Nothing. I tried positions. I couldn't get charcoal. I then remembered that ancient bottle of Beano. I tore it open and probably had more than the recommend drops (the box says NOT to do that.) of about six or seven drops. Immediately, my digestive system kicked in (you can hear it!) and I was able to sleep as the gas bubble was broken up and processed. I'm mad I hadn't tried it earlier. Looking to sing its praises today I read that liquid is discontinued. I'm now hoarding the stuff. So Caveat Emptor. Don't be mad if it's a little old. It's a Seinfeld episode of Elaine's personal hygeniene products at this point.

Beano is great; liquid beano is much more cost-effective than tablet. But this vendor seems to be shipping impotent product. The expiration date looks ok, but the effectiveness was minimal for me, and I'm a long-time user. Perhaps it has been subjected to heat. Note the vendor appears to be a "liquidator". Caveat emptor...

Beans are good. they are loaded with the complex carbs that everyone is sick of hearing about. they're high in fiber, low in fat and have moderate amounts of protein.
Better yet, there are dozens of delicious things you can make with them. generations of frugal cooks in dozens of cultures have worked on refining recipes. Hummus, cassoulet, red beans and rice, boston baked beans, pasta e fagioli-there is a treasure of great eating in the world of the bean.
Alas, there is a snake in the bean garden. Although a few million teenage boys probably feel otherwise, out-of-control passage of gas doesn't really add to the pleasure of that great eating. Enter tasteless, convenient beano. A few drops applied to your beans before eating supplies the enzyme necessary to break down the long chain carbohydrates that would otherwise pass undigested to your lower intestine. There, if left to their own long-chain ways, they would ferment and produce, ahem, gas.
So here's to a few discreetly applied drops of beano. You can now enjoy the delights of bean cookery and get on an elevator and smile.

The expiration date on the bottle I received is 8/11. I am almost finished with a bottle with an expiration date of 11/97 and it still works fine for me.

Beano has always worked for me. I always take it on trips, or even just to local resturants if I know I'll be having beans,i.e., the local Mexican place.

I currently have some liquid Beano from lot 11864 with an expiration date of 08/11 mailed to me some months ago as part of a 3 bottle package, that I'm now finishing up.
BUT, the order of one bottle I very recently received from Dafella Surplus had
an expiration date on it of 10/10 from lot 11474!! This is not "NEW" as it was
advertised on Amazon.

I love Beano and wish WalMart and the other discount stores, as well as grocery stores, still carried the liquid.

We have been searching our local stores for this product and finally found it here. Thank You!!

I love this product. It works great. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

It's supposed to prevent gas, but it can't prevent mine no matter how much I used. What ended up working much better for me were probiotics like this: Accuflora-Controlled Probiotic Acidophilus Delivery, 240 Caplets.
