I absolutely love this bow! I am 16 years old (and a girl) but this bow is perfect for me. It seems very well made - strong and sturdy - and shoots great. Perfect for beginners at an affordable price, and a lot of fun to shoot.

I bought this as a costume prop, but it is a functional bow. As a 24-year-old who's been an archer since she was 4, I can tell you that Bear is one of the best brands out there. It hasn't been around since the Great Depression for nothing! I've shot this bow, personally, and I like it. Simple, and great for beginners or someone who's looking for a low-price functional target practice piece.

I have several bows, including sticks, compounds and recurves. I have started and ran an archery club for college students, and I've taught many people(adults and children both) to shoot. This bow is no frills, no nonsense, basic bow. It doesn't shoot as fast or as flat as my high performance hunting bows, but it shoots. It is very lightweight, easy to string, easy to draw and tons of fun for backyard shooting. It isn't for hunting, it isn't for competitions. If you get one that has delaminated coating, like an earlier reviewer, I wouldn't stand for that and immediately return it for one that isn't defective. Mine arrived in perfect condition and has stood up to some heavy use and abuse. I will be looking to get some funding for my student archery club, with which I'll buy about a dozen more of these(along with a few others) but this will be my workhorse bow for my students.

This is a great bow for 13-18 year old beginners. Be sure to buy a three fingered glove to hold the string and some arrows with non rubber fletchings. to find out how to hand string your bow check out youtube if your can't do it your self get an adults help.

This is an absolutely WONDERFUL bow! It is really easy to use, especially for beginners, and is all around a great bow. It does, however, ONLY come with the bow. No arrows. No quiver. JUST the bow. Which, is just fine if you are expecting to just get the bow. I would advise, just to save your fingers, to get a tab, or AT LEAST some kind of glove to wear over the hand that is pulling the string, just because it is really easy to get blisters. I was very impressed with the quality of the bow, for a good price, too!!!

It is SUPER fun to play with, but is NOT FOR KIDS PLAY.

If you are absolutely just starting out, read this review!
Before buying a bow I was struggling looking for a review that related to me, so here are my specs.

I'm in my early twenties, 5'8 150#. 28" draw

This bow is perfect for a beginner. The # is just right for me to practice on correct form. (states 29#)
It has enough power to get the arrows stuck in tree stumps (which might suck because your arrow tips might get wedged)
The bow came with just the bow and the string, however items I believe are absolutely necessary
for a beginner besides arrows, are a SHOOTING GLOVE to protect your fingers from damage, and a STRING NOCK.
The bow is durable and sturdy, and easy to string without a stringer.

The only CON about this bow is that the tips where the string is held on, are loose and can fall off when in storage.
I glued mine with gorilla glue since that particular glue slightly expands as it cures, which will provide extra adhesion.
I also found that I had to gorilla glue my arrow tips and nocks when they came off after shooting some stray shots.
However other strong adhesives might do the job also.

Overall this bow is worth the money, I spent ~$70 all together for this bow, 6 arrows, a 3 finger leather glove, arm guard, and a string knock.
Not bad for a college student's budget, I will now be moving up to the Samick Sage, after a few more weeks of practice.
Thank you Amazon

I received my Bear Titan bow about a week and have put over a hundred arrows through it now. The bow is solid and the grip is well made. The string it comes with however is unussually short, but works fine. I plan to order a AMO 58 inch string when i get a chance but have been shooting off a AMO 60 inch one. The string the bow comes with is around AMO 56, this leaves the bow with around a 11 inch brace height.

I have not measured it but the bow feels much heavier than rated with the factory string.

On any note however the bow is great and a load of fun for yard shooting. I have enjoyed it a great deal and shipping was fast and bow came completly flawless.

This bow has proved to be the best thing for my twelve year old son. It's just strong enough to let him get some distance but weak enough that he doesn't get seriously tired from using it allot. Being able to shoot it from either hand allows him to figure out which hand is better for him to shoot from.
