My son is 11 months old and we started out watching Bear because it gave me 20 minutes of "get-ready" time in the morning. Now Bear is his FAVORITE of all the Playhouse Disney shows. He could care less about Pooh or Jo-Jo, etc.

This DVD gives 3 episodes where dancing is the key! The first episode is about each character playing an instrument (spoons, kazoo, rain-stick, pots & pans) and being a part of an orchestra.

The second episode is about a day that is supposed to be a restfull one in the house, but Treelo wants to dance! He gets everyone into the mood and they dance all day! (They are visited near the end of the show by Tutter's Grandma Flutter).

In the third episode Bear wakes up with the CHA-CHA-CHA song in his head but he can't remember all of the rhythm! OH NO! Throughout the show each character takes a chance at helping him but in the end it's Shadow and Tutter who help Bear find his rhythm.

And if you've never watched Bear before, don't listen to the hype about Shadow...she's just the "shadow" of a classic muppet girl on the wall who sings and jokes with Bear. She offers a story-in-song within each episode which is actually a Nursery Rhyme. Yes, it is black and white and the objects are paper cut-outs...but it's only about a minute and a half of the entire show and my kid loves it anyway. It's a drastic contrast from the bright colors and that really gets his attention. I think Disney did great finding this Bear and his home!! Good luck!

Bear is one of the coolest creations from Mouse House & Henson for some time. The episodes are colourful, lively and moral. Each episode begins in a very similar way which has caused the confusion of others, but this groovy DVD is all new and the episodes are musical in content. Okay at 24 years of age I shouldn't confess to liking this, but it 'sure smells good'. I love Luna too!

This collection of 2 Bear in the Big Blue House episodes centers on music in the first and dancing in the second. My 3 year old particularly likes the dancing episode, because it has a lot of fun and different music. It has taught him things like what a "trio" and a "clarinet" are, and the fun of making music with ordinary things like wooden spoons and pots when we all get to join Ojo's orchestra down at the otter pond. Good times! I also aprreciate the different styles of music that are presented and how they show that we can enjoy all kinds of music. If your child likes Bear in the Big Blue House, particularly when Bear sings, they are sure to like this one!

Bear is so much more enjoyable than some of the other kiddie fare out there. We love the songs, his gentle, caring nature and his silly sniffing! You can not go wrong with bear. This one is great for the little ones that like to "get down"! As a bonus, this one (and quite a few of the others) has a spanish soundtrack for those wishing to raise their children bilingually. I love it! (The only problem there is that while Bear may say "manzanas" the word "apples" shows up on the screen.) Bear is simply the best. We are cuckoo for Bear in this house. :)

My 2 1/2 year old found this quite interesting and entertaining. He does like the Bear in the Blue House series, so this was a welcome addition. He now is starting to dance when the characters dance on the screen. He does also know who "shadow" is and these are welcome little breaks to the story.

the songs are lively and catchy. My 2 year old daughter loves to sing and dance to the Grandma Mambo with Grandma Flutter Tutter and play her maracas along with Ojo's orchestra.

This is our favorite Bear DVD!

One of the first Bear Videos I bought was Vol 3 and my 1 year old twin girls loved it. So I was excited about getting another one that had to do with dancing. Unfortunately when I popped it in the VCR the first episode was the same as the first episode of Vol 3. I was disappointed but thought, well as long as they have a different 2nd episode, I would be happy. Then the 2nd episode came out and I couldn't believe it. It was the same from start to finish. So I took it out of the VCR and looked at it closly and it was called Vol 3 also. Same video, two different cases. Now I'm stuck with 2 videos that are exactly the same. ... Either somehow the manufacturer put the wrong video in or they aren't paying attention to what they are putting out.

I bought this tape for my daughter who has the whole bear in the big blue house collection. This is not the same tape as the #3 episode, it is a totally different show. My 3 yr old loves it as she enjoys the shows with music.

Bear in The Big Blue House is amazing. Both kids and adults enjoy it. I got this for my neice for Christmas, and she loves it. Thank you!

The Bear in the Big Blue House - Dance Party is a great video for young children. I ordered from Amazon.Com when I came across the title looking for children shows to order. I had Remembered my older grandchildren enjoying this program so much when they were younger. My 20 month old grandson loves this show.
