5.0 out of 5 stars The most miraculous video ever made !, January 27, 2000

I bought this for my 2 3/4 year old daughter 2 weeks ago. Shewatched it 5 or 6 times the day I got it and she had never seen"Bear in the Big Blue House" before, so she was not familier with the characters. Over the next few days she watched it once or twice a day. I bought it on a Tuesday. By Friday afternoon she wanted to put on training pants and except for nighttime she hasn't had a diaper on since ! It's absolutely amazing ! She's hardly had any accidents during the daytime and she's even waking up dry a lot of mornings. Before this wonderful video she would tell us she had to go, but she refused to go sit on the potty. I can't say enough wonderful things about this video. If you're struggling with potty training, go out and buy it today.

5.0 out of 5 stars I got more out of it than I expected! Maybe you will too!, January 30, 2002

This review is from: Bear in the Big Blue House - Potty Time with Bear (DVD)
I decided to buy this DVD based on reviews that I read here. I had already purchased a potty chair many months ago which we put into our bathroom but I didn't plan on potty training my daughter (26 months old) at the moment since we just had a new addition to our family and I thought she should get used to the idea of her baby sister (2 months old) before tackling another hurdle. Also, I only put her on her potty twice and I really didn't want to start training her while the baby was still young.

Well, she watched the video about 3 or 4 times. No reaction from her and no pressure from me. No big deal right?

Then one morning, after watching the video she wants to go to the bathroom and sit on her potty. And then a miracle! She actual went poop into her potty! I couldn't believe my eyes!

So, now we're going through the stages of potty training and all because of this video. It's great because it talks about taking time from playing to use the potty and how it's okay to have an accident. What do you have to lose? Buy the video, maybe you'll have a miracle too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Teaches kids in terms they'll understand, August 12, 1999
By A Customer
This is one of the cutest episodes I've seen of "Bear in the Big Blue House"! It teaches kids that going to the potty is a normal thing for them, and all creatures. This video also stresses the importance of hygiene. There are some adorable songs in this episode, and that may help children have some fun with learning to potty.

Be warned: The word "poop" is used many times. Some people may not want their kids to use that word, but I personally think it is a very easy (and descriptive) word for kids to use.
