We've gotten several of the bear books. Some are excellent, such as "Bear Snores On" and others are just ok, like "Bear's New Friend." "Bear Feels Sick" is one of the better ones: great illustrations, smooth verse without any forced syllables or hitches, good story line.

These books are great - the rhyming, the friends and the content.
Our 3 (almost) year old granddaughter knows them by heart.

The Bear books are a wonderful series! All three generations in our house love them. The stories are addictive. The illustrations are terrific. The gentle lessons of being kind & good come through without preaching. The cast of woodland characters & their ability to be good friends who work & play together is the model modern society needs! We can't wait for there to be more Bear books.

Karma Wilson = fantastic children's books. She's a favorite at our house; this book, like many of her others, has a wonderful cadence, a fun story, and is a good length between too short and don't-want-to-read-it long. Some of her other books including Whopper Cake and Moose Tracks are current favorites as well.

Perfect for reading to toddlers with lush beautiful pictures of bear and his numerous friends as the story teaches children about kindness and caring with humor and compassion and the rhyming is spot on, my only complaint is the author refers to rabbits as hares and for most 2 and 3 year olds that is an alien word whereas rabbit or bunny is more in their realm.
