Having all those pockets is great for utility.

Out of the box, some of the stitching on the pants were coming off and the size was way too baggy to the point that I returned these pants.

These in a 34 are huge, also, the legs are much baggier, and the waist is much higher, creating a fit I just did not like.

I should have known better, these things are cheaply made and it shows, loose threads, cheap fabric and those patches you see are not reinforced they are just some fabric that serves no purpose. I did not think the fabric was comfortable. These are not nearly as good as the pants you find in backpacking stores, I have wayyyy better made pants. I would bet that Bear wears a custom made pair with better materials. Luckily Amazon is awesome, so back they go and I will try something else.

I thought these pants would be the same as the survivor pants I had previously ordered, but they are not. The material is a cotton blend, comfy, durable, and breathes well, but not as good for outdoor activities as they are heavier, take longer to dry etc... Also, as some have noted the other pants run small, and these, with the elastic wasteband, run large! I am usually a 32-34 waist. In the survivor pants a 34 regular fit well, more like a 33 or loose 32 probably. These in a 34 are huge, also, the legs are much baggier, and the waist is much higher, creating a fit I just did not like. Either you wear them like granpa pants with the waist at your belly button and the crotch in the right place, or you wear them lower like you would another pair of pants (if you are under 85 years old) and the crotch is extremely low and baggy. They are not bad pants if they fit you right, just make sure you know you are getting a more casual cotton blend pant, as opposed to 'adventure' pants that are made from parachute type material, like the other ones. In the end I sent them back. I still like the survivor pants and the 1/4 zip pullover I bought from Mr. Bear.

I have had these for three backpacking seasons now. I wear them for a week strait hiking sleeping rain and sun. Only taking them them off to let dry. They have performed very good. Have lost a button on a pocket but other than that they have held up great i like the pocket configuration and they are comfortable. Hope they come back in stock before I wear these out.

Don't let the Bear Grylls logo scare you off. Great pants for wilderness adventures of any type. Reinforced where you need it, extra pockets with zippers, and breathes great. I own two pair.

The pants are great quality and are comfortable and everything they say, just sizing is a tad small, I ordered the size I needed but they were a good 2-3" short on the legs
