5.0 out of 5 stars Pulling pork was never easier
I bought these for the sole purpose of pulling smoked pork butts for pulled pork sandwiches. These make the task so much easier than using large forks. I pulled two six-pound pork butts in under five minutes. These things are great!

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better
I purchased these to shred pork butts into pulled pork for my BBQ business. They worked fairly well for that purpose however the sharp tips became bent and deformed in the dishwasher and the voids on the reverse side created by the molding process become packed with debris very easily making cleaning/sanitizing difficult.

I love the other reviewer's idea of using these to pull pork, but I bought the bear paws so that I could finally pick up and move large, roasted objects securely, from off of the flames, or just out of the roasting pan--and they do a fantastic job for both. Folks, this is a very simple item that will make a very simple cooking task MUCH friendlier to perform. There's not a lot to say about a pair of claws you use to pick up hot stuff, except: Where have they been all my life?

I can't understand why the cooking stores have bear paw shaped salad tossers, but not these, which answer a much more immediate and (because of the temperatures involved) important kitchen need than how to move a piece of lettuce or two around in a bowl. Thankfully, we can get them online!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pulling pork was never so easy., July 22, 2007
Being a "former" fork pulling pork puller, I have to say that the Bear Paws is a great gadget to have on hand.

The first weekend I had the paws, I was cooking 40 lbs of pork butts.

I literally pulled all 4 butts in less than 20 minutes, whereas is with forks each butt might take 15 minutes alone.

Great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great use in fight, June 25, 2011
This review is from: Bear Paw Meat Handler Forks (Kitchen)
These bear paws are great for shredding slow cooked or smoked meats. The also double as a great self defense product. While going outside to take out my smoked pork which had been smoking for nearly the entire day, a hooligan jumped the fence to my yard and demanded food. I was able to fend him off with the bear paws.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pulled pork like the pros., April 7, 2009

I was watching a special on the Travel Channel or Food network about BBQ, and saw a lot of the championship BBQ'ers and pit bosses using what looked like bear claws to take meat out of the pit and pull it apart. After searching around, I came across these beauties.

I was always a "fork puller" when it came to pulled pork, but not anymore. These things make the job 10x faster and easier. Not to mention, I feel like Wolverine while I'm using them.

Pulling pork and brisket out of the smoker is no problem, and they're easy to clean. Any serious (or not so serious) BBQ person out there should own a set of these!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOMW!!!!!!!, May 15, 2008
These are awesome!! I have been pulling pork for years using a variety of methods. It has always been time consuming and my least favorite part of bbq-ing. These bear paws make it absolutely effortless. Shredded two pork butts in minutes. I shredded five chicken breast for my buffalo chiken dip almost in a blink of an eye. They also help with pulling butts off the smoker.

5.0 out of 5 stars have the claws you've always wanted, May 25, 2009
If you've ever fantasized about being a bear or a velociraptor, these are just the ticket. Better than brass knuckles, they're a great low profile defensive tool.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bear Paws, November 9, 2010

As advertised. I thought that the plastic would have been made more durable. After just a few uses pulling some pork tenderloin's, the ends curled up a bit so they are less effective now. I didn't pull the pork when it was super hot either so they didn't melt down. I think they would be better if they were metal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Human Shredding Machine, September 22, 2010

This things turn any normal human into a Human Shredding Machine. I felt like that dude from Army of Darkness with his chain saw arm as I tore into 40lbs of freshly smoked pork butt.

Used claws to take pork off smoker to, worked great.
Everyone at my daughters first bday party thought the pulled pork was done by a pro, well it was thanks to the help of the Bear Claws.
